Magic users are Mortal, or at least half mortal, and come in a variety of flavors.
Minor Talents are mortals who have small, limited powers, whether due to long-forgotten traces of inhuman bloodlines, exposure to the supernatural, or simply the right combination of willpower and belief. These mortals can be referred to as minor talents: people with “one-trick” powers that might not have a lot of mojo but which can be very effective in the hands of a creative and driven individual. This mantle is a good option for someone who wants to have just a little supernatural trickey up his sleeve: a vanilla mortal with a little dash of extra flavour.
Focused Practitioners Focused practitioners are, essentially, the minor league of the magical practitioners. These people have narrowly-defined spellcraft aptitudes which they practice to the exclusion of all other magic, usually because they simply aren't capable of more. For some focused practitioners, this limit is born of having only an intuitive understanding of magic rather than a trained one. Because of this, some focused practitioners are able to train into broader spellcasting abilities, but this is rare. As practitioners of true mortal magic, they are subject to the Laws of Magic, and the danger of certain pointy silver things.
Wizards are humans with that heady spark of true magical ability. These include the practitioners with the full range of magical talents.
