Lola's Awakening - Part 3

"Again!" Cause feel back into a loose, almost feral posture. In front of her Nature took a more rigid posture as the two faced off. Nature's expression was uncertain, whereas Cause was almost relaxed, despite her aggressive posture.

Nature grunted and kicked out. A quick snap that Cause blocked, rushing in with an elbow. Nature's grunt was more pained in answer to the fierce body blow, but she maintained her posture, twisting aside with an elbow snapped up, knocking Cause to the side of the head.

Cause came back up from it with a fierce grin, leaping at Nature with a fierce snarl. The forceful assault had Nature on the back foot, the level of aggression Cause showed not matched by her opponent. The violet haired sister snapping out defense after defense, barely holding her sister back.

RIght up until Cause snarled and snapped back from her, clearly angry. "You know how to do this. We're the same. You know what I know. You can remember what I do. Why can't you do this?" Frustration giving volume to her gripes.

Nearby, Accident watched the two with wide eyes and uncertainty. "She's too nice," she murmured, almost absently. Nature glanced over and Cause scoffed.

"She's holding back. She's scared." Cause's jab got Nature's attention back on her, eyes narrowed. "This feels weird," she states back. I'm not used to.. Doing things like this."

Cause scoffs and states, "Some fuck coming at you don't care about that. They're just gunna kill you dead. Unless you do it first. Survival of the fittest. Death to the weak."

Nature sighs and shakes her head. "Not every moment is life or death," she answers. "That's your problem. You see life in black and white. Those you kill, those you don't. There's nothing else to you."

Cause scowled at that. "So? It keeps you alive, don't it?"

"That's the thing. Life is about more than survival," Nature answers. "What do you like to do besides fight and patrol, looking for a fight?" The question seems to confuse.. Or upset Cause. Nature draws near, hands lifting to rest on her shoulders. Cause tenses, her discomfort rising. "Did you like painting?"

Cause had joined in on the activity several times without comment, seeming intent to hold her thoughts on the activity inside. Thus the question was a serious one, edged with real curiosity. Cause frowns, shrugging away from her sister's touch.

"Scared to tell the truth?" Nature prodded back. Cause tensed, glancing back at Nature. Accident spoke up then. "I liked your pictures, sister." She rose to her feet as two sets of eyes turned towards her. She approached with a warm smile. "I like your pictures. You don't worry about making something. You just.. Do."

Cause seemed perplexed at her sister, while Nature smiled slightly to herself. Accident continued. "You should paint more. We can paint together. And.. and I'll try and learn to be mean. A little mean, maybe?" Accident was openly unsure about this, but earnest in her offer.

"And we'll talk about being social," Nature added, smiling at Cause. "I know you don't like it, but maybe you can at least try?"

The aggressive sister huffed, glancing between the two alternate sides of herself. After a lengthy span of moments she glanced to the side. "Not like I got much else to do, I guess." Accident hopped up and down, clapping her hands happily. Which only soured Cause's expression. "But right now, you're learning from me." She jabbed a finger at Nature. "And if you want me to do what you want, you're not holding back."

Nature smirked. "I was hoping you'd forget." She sighs and nods. "Fine. Let's do this."

And the two sparred. With no quarter given. After all, in a world of the mind that isn't real, pain and injury are much the same. Irrelevant.
