Ho'okipa/What to Expect

  • Pay What You Can: Ho'okipa relies on the "give a penny, take a penny" principle. When you're down and out, you have a place. But when you're flush? Give back and keep paying it forward.
  • Luxury Hostel: As far as hostels go, this one is pretty plush - private rooms with private bathrooms and modern, well-kept common areas. But it's still a hostel, NOT a hotel. There are no restaurants or room service. Continental breakfast is served in the mornings, otherwise feel free to store your food to cook for yourself in the shared kitchen.
  • A Little Slice of Paradise: Ho'okipa only has two floors and 18 guest rooms, so it's not large. It's hard for guests and residents not to bump into each other.
  • 18+ Only: Adults only, even in the pools. Sorry, kids.
  • BYOB: Aurelie does her best to keep good local beers in the fridge, but bars are expensive. During events at Ho'okipa, expect open bars and lots of revelry. During normal operation, your best bet is to bring your drink of choice. Auri has a fondness for daiquiris and might share...if there's enough to go around. You can't deprive a girl of her daily serving of fruit.
