The Astral Realm

The realm of the mind is a place of muddy, sometimes terrifying, events. It holds the memories of the World, not just of an individual. Visits here could easily be one of the reasons why certain Mages go completely mad. So much knowledge, so much to see and hear and recall, but none of it your own as the individual's ideas and understandings are but a drop in the ocean's worth of ideas. Trips to the Astral Realm can be intense and should be well prepared for.

The Hedge

The Hedge is a place of wonder and amazingly fantastical creatures, events, hobs, plants and even altered humanity and supernaturals. While it might be one of those places you find yourself agape with awe over as you enter, there are a plethora of dangers to be aware of. Many flavors of evil can be found lurking in the hedge around Baltimore, but so too can good, old fashioned danger due to the alien nature of the things that reside there. It is not a place to idly stroll through and there are reasons to avoid wandering and getting lost in its labyrinthian twists and turns. Be warned!

The Hisil or Spirit Realm

Baltimore has a rich history that stretches back a few centuries. This has created rivalries, passions, wars in the spirit realm, and multiple areas that are a direct result of this conflict. While the Hisil is not filled with wound after wound and nothing but blight and rage spirits as far as the eye can see... It is a complex, fully developed side of reality that will challenge those who walk amidst its depths. The Wolves of this city have their plates full with all of the business occurring in the Hisil, but then there are the Thyrsus and the Immortals that deal with the same realm, all of which come together to handle specific needs.

New Realms?

Due to the fact that we'll be using God Machine Rules on Nevermore Darkness there are a couple of layers of reality that previously have not been explored. These are the realms of Angels and Demons. Both are very real, both exist fully within the scheme of the site and the scheme of darkness meant for our players to enjoy. However, as both of of these realms are primarily used for NPC's and will be only available through ST run scenes, there will not be as much information forthcoming in regard to them. At least, not until players are able to experience what they have to offer.

Reality

Ah, Reality. The nice calm center of the universe where things always make sense, right? Wrong. Reality is where all of the other layers encroach, spread the ideas and strangeness until the people held snugly within the bosom of reality finally seek out the source of all those odd urges and desires. Reality, my friends, is there to be messed with.

The Underworld

Rich with history and filled with all manner of the dead, the Underworld of Baltimore is a place of constant action and movement. Sin-Eaters and other creatures that have reason to enter into its depths should always be aware of the very full nature of the Underworld. With the rate of death and the common occurrence of crimes leading to those deaths, the world beneath Baltimore can be sometimes a strange and scary place filled with the confused masses sent too soon to their demise. At other times it seems almost orderly, moving with the rhythm of natural selection. The most important thing to note about the Underworld is that it is always changing, always pulling in new ghosts and losing old ones as they transition on. There is no shortage of work in this city for ANY Geist character.
