A little bumpy water at sea

Location

Kailua Beach, Windward Coast

Plot(s)

Plot:Sea Witch

Light blue skies greet the ocean front off the coast of Kailua beach today. It looks like it's going to be a nice day on the sea, and many boats are out enjoying the sunshine. The winds are a bit strong, but not too chilly yet and there is already a long line-up of tourists waiting to board 'Trade Winds': the newest, exclusive tourboat to greet Hawaiian shores.

It is not a terribly fancy ferry really, not as large or as luxurious as some of the competitors, but it has a low, generous deck, an inner cabin and an upper captain's cabin. Viewing is excellent from both the cabin and the deck. However, the price is pretty economical in comparison as well.

Once the gates open, a couple of deck hands guide everyone onto the ferry, handing out little pamphlets that outline the tour route, and points of attraction along the way.

Muriel is here, having dragged Kirk along with her, hopefully not kicking and screaming too much. She's got in her hands a pair of tickets, along with a letter. "So.." she quips as she walks along with him to the ferry. "I guess someone randomly entered me in this contest and I won a pair of tickets." she smirks, "So glad you agreed to come with me. I just know ye will enjoy it." As they head towards the dock, Muriel pauses to peer up at the ferry. "Hmm, a bit smaller than I imagined."

Kirk is certainly cam as he walks with Muriel towards the ferry. "I should get out and do.. normal things more often," he replies. "This would count, I assume." When she pauses, he does as well, considering the boat lightly. "I don't have a lot of experience with boats, so I couldn't tell you if it were too large or small." He looks to Muriel. "But it seems.. sturdy enough, I suppose. Are you concerned about anything?" His tone doesn't suggest he's at all concerned. He's left his coat behind, given the weather. But he still has his hat and the dufflebag he usually carries around. Lightly packed.

Fancying a day away from the shop, Isaac has decided that a cruise could be a relaxing way to spend the day. He has his hair slicked back and a pair of expensive sunglasses perched on his head. Dressed in a hawaiian shirt along with multi-pocketed beige trousers, he has a jacket slung over one shoulder in case of inclement weather. His shirt is open to the navel, revealing chiseled muscles underneath and revealing a pouch at his waist which is secured with a black belt along with a see-through pouch for keeping his wallet in, something popular with the tourists in the region.

Stepping on to the gangplank, he smiles at the attendants and then makes his way onto the deck, deciding a little tour to find the best spots to loiter couldn't hurt...that and finding out where the bar is.

Mila arrived to the Trade Winds, looking at it with a set of raised brows, her grin one of bemusement. "Seriously, Vee, you might want to think about charging people in actual money. This is the third weird thing in the last two months we've done. Are you supplying someone that works for one of those little local ticket booth things?" She looked over at her companions, Volya and Keha, and gave them a grin and a wink. "Not that the velcro on the wall thing wasn't fun, I had a good time jumping and sticking on things. And being peeled off the walls." She chuckled, and continued toward the boat, giving Muriel and Kirk a polite nod and a cheerful "Aloha!" as she led Volya and Keha past them up the gang plank.

Mila had dressed to be in normal adventures, but they were still going out on a boat in the water, so the swimsuit couldn't be entirely left behind. She had on a a pair of short, jean cut offs that looked comfortable and fairly well worn, clinging to her hips and leaving most of her muscular, dusky colored legs bare. Her feet were covered in a set of thong-style sandals in bright yellow. For a top, Mila had elected to go for a bright yellow and orange sunset-dyed Tank top worn over what had to be a bright pink string bikini that tied up around her neck. All of her long, ombre brown to pale blonde bleached hair was pulled up into a bun at the top of her head that looked a bit more like a super messy top knot, but at least it stayed out of her way!

Keha follows after her twin and Volya, climbing the gangplank up to the Trade Winds and pausing to dip a hand in the water. "You know, these new boats are supposed to have 92 percent less diesel emissions than the previous models. They're recommended in the new Marine Environment Protection Committee write up for the UN." She bobs up, apparently satisfied with the...consistency? of the water on her hand which she wipes off on her short denim shorts. "You know, I could've gotten us all free tickets if we all agreed to shill for the University," she notes to her companions, giving her green and white University of Hawaii - Manoa polo shirt a tug. She's got her brown to platinum blonde ombre hair pulled up in a ponytail that catches the breeze when the wind shifts, and she's wearing a pair of chunky tortoishell plastic-rimmed glasses. Keha greets Muriel and Kirk with a cheerful "Aloha!" and a raise of her hand, and another to Isaac as she passes him, with a brief moment of appreciation for the exposed abs. She swats her sister and Volya in the butt as she tries to push past them on the gangplank. "Last one up's a rotten egg!"

The tide is high and rising.

Volya may have thought it was a costume party. It could have been the jean mini-skirt, the red cowgirl boots, the pink and yellow stripped turtleneck, the rose-colored glasses, or the suede fringe vest. Her mouth hung open as Mila explained her thought. "Uhhh... Well I was going to, but you see the dude was short. This seemed more than enough to cover it. And the barter system is impossible for the Man to track, so... Fight the power?" Her expression brighten and she grinned, "And there was a ticket for Keha who felt emotional trapped into coming with us, so she couldn't run out on some science expedition." She thumbed at Keha, "And she's already talking science, she's excited!" Pausing, she waved to Kirk and Muriel, tassels shaking, "Aloha!" Then she gasped, "And aloha to you, Isaac!"

People start to file in and the two deck hands are eager to leave shore, glancing every so often at their watches and at the waning sky. It's late afternoon, and the skies look pretty good for sailing right now, but far out on the fringes, there are some heavier, greyer clouds. Hopefully they will stay on the fringes. Once the last passenger has embarked, the ferry pulls away from shore.

"All aboard!" shouts the captain from the intercom, and once everyone is safely aboard, most make it down to the cabin, although many pile onto the deck. The ferry is somewhat populated but not overcrowded. Many came for the special 50 percent off deal, but perhaps many more still prefer the bigger, more luxurious liners.

Muriel grins at Kirk, gently grabbing his arm and shaking her head. "No, I guess I be a wee bit used to the lap of luxury, is all! But tis alright, I'm sure we will enjoy the ride all the same, right? And aye, tis good to try...'normal' things, such as this. Me? I've been working too hard lately, I need a break from work too." she is dressed rather comfortably herself, wearing a navy blue swimsuit with little silver sparklies sprinkled across the chest, paired with a crisp white sarong skirt, beach hat and sandals.

"C'mon, let's go before we lose our ride!" and she hurries aboard, hopefully with Kirk not far behind. Glancing through the crowds, she does spy few familiar faces, and she grins and waves at Mila (wait, are there two Milas now!?), as well as Volya. "Aloha, you two! And what is this, two Milas?" she chuckles and scratches her head. Huh, must be a twin or something? Or at least they look pretty similar.

While she is trying to figure out which is which, a skinny looking teenager rushes past her, knocking her to the ground with a startled 'umph!'

Kirk looks towards the passing trio of women, a nod of his head offered in return to their greetings. "Good day, ladies," he offers lightly before looking to Muriel again. "You shouldn't work too hard. Especially in the music business. Learning to pace yourself is important." He looks up when they call for final boarding. Nodding to her as they both hurry on board after everyone else. And he finds himself near the trio of women again as Muriel speaks to them. For the moment not involved, he looks around, considering the boat and it's passengers. When Muriel gets knocked to the ground, he looks back towards her in a snap, a and lowered towards her. "Are you alright>" He glances after the youth.

Isaac waves politely to those he doesn't know, offering a cheerie smile and a nod to those he does. He blinks with surprise as he watches Mila and Vee arrive, followed by Keha, the young man doing his best (and possibly failing) not to letch as he checks them out. He grins broadly when he sees what Vee is wearing, "Aloha guys, you all fancied a day out as well?" Stepping across the deck, he sidles up to the three of them. "I don't believe I've met your friend before, I'm Isaac." He ambles over to one of the railings, leaning on it with his back to the sea as he watches the goings on on deck. He looks utterly relaxed as he loiters on deck, his thumbs tucked into the pockets of his trousers as he idly watches the other passengers arriving.

Mila jumped a bit as her rear was swatted by her sister, glancing at her and narrowing her eyes as the slightly shorter, slightly less muscular version of herself went bounding past. "Lucky us we're not last in line, or we'd end up smelling like your kohole, Keha!" She called it at her sister and grinned, elbowing Volya. "Fight the power, pupule wahine, you do that. I'll just surf, and make sure the power doesn't get anywhere near the reef while I'm breathing." Smiling widely, Mila gave Muriel a wink. "Don't let my sister hear you say there are two Milas. She's older by like, 2 minutes. As far as she's concerned, I'm definitely the Xerox. I just tell her they finally got it right the second time." She raised her brows as Muriel went down after the knocking by the teenager, moving a little closer, but stopping as Kirk has Muri seen to. "Hope you're Ok, brah... DUDE! Stop running, you little miscreant!" Mila shouted after the dissappearing youth. "Totally rude, brah! TOTALLY RUDE!" When Isaac came up to them, Mila blinked and looked him over, grinning. "If I found dudes hot, I'd totally jump you, Isaac. Nice shirt." She tugged at his shirt and nodded to her sister, Keha. "You might have a shot with my sister, though. She likes cut boys." She winked to him. "KEHA! Come here, meet Isaac!"

Keha whirls around to Volya, grinning ear to ear as she's pretty sure she's won the race nobody else is participating in. "I wasn't emotionally trapped, Boot-Scootin' Bougie. And I can do science here just as well. I mean, who's going to stop me? I mean..." and then she hears it. "The OTHER Mila?" Keha puts a hand on jutted out hip, and with the other, the glasses come off. Uh-oh. "Just because her okole is big enough for two people doesn't mean we're the same person!" She whirls around at Muriel just in time to see her get bowled over by some punk kid. "HEY, ASSHOLE!" she shouts after the retreating kid, "Where the fuck do you think you're going, it's the OCEAN." She looks down at Muriel and blinks. "Oh, hey. Christmas first aid girl. Long time no see. You okay?"

"You got this?" she asks Kirk, as he's helping Muriel up. "I'm gonna have /words/ with the staff here, this security is shit." Fortunately, before she can tear into the staff, she's distracted by Mila's bellow, and she turns her attention to Mila, Volya, and Isaac. "Well hello, Isaac," she says with an impish grin. "Mila might have the ass, but I'm the flexible one. I'm a much better bet."

Volya grinned at Muriel, "If there were two Mila's, I would likely explode. That's not to say I wouldn't die happy, but the mess would be considerable." Panting, she pulled at the collar of her turtleneck, "I thought it would be cute, but now I'm just hot..." She pulled out the collar out farther, and blew into it, stopping when Muriel was taken out, glaring at the teen, "What the fuck!?!" Growling for a moment, she took a deep breath, "Someone volunteered to be eaten if we get shipwrecked. I mean what a dick." Looking back to Isaac, Volya gestured to Mila, "Door moaning..." She gestured over to Keha, "The one that gets irritated when I end up door moaning... It's mostly because she gets up insanely early to do yoga and researching..." She drew off and shook her head, "I just thinking it's a secret boyfriend..." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion as she stared at Issac, "Unless you already know this... Isaac."

The ferry rapidly leaves the shore behind, floating on pristine blue seas as it heads slowly towards its destination. But the ferry is in no hurry to reach the next island. The announcer starts to describe the area that they are currently in, and what their next destination is to be, as well as pointing out the various points of interest.

Coral reefs, what sea creatures to watch out for, as well as volcanoes they might pass close enough to watch from afar. As the announcer rants on, the winds pick up a bit, the air getting a tad cooler. A lot of smaller boats on the sea are already calling it a day and moving inland. Tradewinds however, is determined to plow ever onward, leaving a trail of white foam in its wake.

Many people are content to stay below deck as the waters get a bit choppy, and the wind is getting colder. That ominous grey cloud is drifting ever closer..

Muriel grumbles, shooting out a curse or two in Irish at the bratty teen who speeds away. With a nod, she takes Kirk's hand, climbing slowly to her feet. "Thank you, Kirk. Some kids these days. I can't believe they have no manners!" with a grumble, she straightens out her skirt, doing her best to wipe the dust off. Paying more attention to the sisters now, she smirks as she peers more closely at Keha and Mila.

"Ahh, I see it now. You two are not exactly the same. So, sister huh? Must be nice." she chuckles, twirling a ginger strand around her finger as she peers around with a sigh. "Now, this is what I like, a beautiful, clear sea, out in the middle of nowhere. That grey cloud better stay away though." she frowns a bit, grabbing her purse which had fallen when she lost her balance, subconsciously reaching a hand inside to make sure everything is intact.

Suddenly, her eyes go wide, looking very concerned, upset about something. "I dont believe it....It's...Missing...?!"

Kirk nods to Keha as she questions him briefly. He's got this. It doesn't take too much effort to pull up Muriel, his other hand lifting to her shoulder to make sure she's steadied. "No problem," he answers Muriel, taking a step back once he's sure she's good, looking after the kid. "Yes, some people are just unaware of what's going on around them." He observes as she she checks her things and his brow creases when she nots something is missing. "Did you drop something?" He glances down, around near where she fell.

"Oh my giddy aunt..." Isaac is rendered speechless, at least for a moment by Mila's introduction, his English accent quite pronounced as he blinks, open mouthed at Mila. Regaining his composure, he turns his attention to Keha, flashing her his brightest smile. "Oh wow, yes, I guess I can see that. A pleasure to meet you." He turns at the commotion, trying to see what everyone is yelling about and wincing as he sees Muriel on the floor. His head twitches back as Vee speaks, Isaac blinking and then going a little red as he tries to follow the conversation. "Door moaning?" He mouths the words as he tries to understand, staring at Vee for some seconds before he finally gets it. "Oh...what an interesting turn of phrase. So wow, you all live together? Yeah, I imagine noise could be a problem." He coughs and pulls at the collar of his shirt, finding it quite impossible to get the item any looser. "Wow, will you just look at that ocean!" At the question from Vee, he raises his hands in a defensive manner. "Hey, I'm normally doing completely un-yoga-like things first thing in the morning."

He turns his attention to Muriel as she calls out, raising his eyebrows and then glancing at her purse. "Pickpockets, on a boat? There must be security here, thankfully, unless they've jumped off you should be able to find them." Turning back to the others, he suppresses a shiver, taking a moment to rub at the flesh of his arms. "Goosebumps and I'm overheating. Gosh, I'm suddenly a middle aged woman" He shakes his head and starts to idly fan himself. "I should have brought my hat"

Mila nodded to Muriel and grinned. "It is nice, my twin's the best person I know." She reached back behind herself, and Keha, and swatted Keha squarely on the behind in retribution for the swat she'd received earlier on the gangplank. "And luckily she can swim, so if I toss her overboard I don't have to be too worried about it." She snickered darkly and glanced back over at Isaac and Keha meeting, her rich, brown eyes filled with a glimmer of amusement. "Don't listen to Keha, Isaac, she's only the best bet because she plays on your team. Volya's definitely got the better /end/ of the deal."

Mila hip checked Volya softly, grinning to the woman. Though with the obvious overheating of both Volya and Isaac, she raised her brows. "You want my shirt, Vee? I'm good in just the bikini top, at least I've got shorts on, so not entirely inappropriate for non-beach, neh?" She pulled her tank top off, leaving her in just the jean shorts, sandals, and a bright pink string bikini top that really, let's face it, didn't have much to cover anyway. She held the shirt out to Vee and grinned. "It'll look good with your outfit, it's bright." Of course when Muriel started her worry over something missing, Mila's eyes tracked back to the woman and she motioned toward the ship's cockpit. "You should go up and tell them right away, Muriel. They can get everyone checked before we get too far out to sea, and definitely before we get back to shore. It's not like the little twerp can get anywhere, we're on the Ocean."

Keha shoots playful laser death eyes at Volya. "If I had a secret boyfriend, Vee, I'd be way more chill about your two or three hour morning door moaning sessions. Trust me, you two are well overdue for your turn to Lysol every flat surface in the house." She turns to Muriel, pointedly NOT looking at Mila, and smiles broadly. "It's true, having a twin sister is the best. She's my best friend in the whole world. And trust me...no one on earth can make you angrier. It's like they come with instruction manuals on how to push your buttons...hey," she pauses, noticing the fluster over the missing item and Kirk's reaction to it. "Is something missing? Did that punk ass little haole take something?" she looks between the redhead and the man in the hat. "I hope he gets sea lice on his dick. Mila's right, Muriel, you should report this right away."

Turning back to the deliciously flustered Englishman, Keha reaches for his arm in a not at all subtle attempt to wind herself under it. "Best looking middle-aged woman I've ever met," she winks up at the man. "Don't you worry. I can get anybody limbered up, even adorably stiff ones." She turns and squints out at the ocean, before resettling her glasses on her face. "It is beautiful, isn' it? That gray cloud is kind of a party pooper. Probably El Nino weather patterns. Must be the strong winds rolling in early that brought it in."

Volya's face went blank for a moment as Isaac spoke. "Uhhh... I mean I guess it could be a turn of phrase, but really I was talking about the time that Wren and you dropped me at Mila's place for me literally to moan and scratch at the door." A giggle slipped out of her, "You were preoccupied at the time." Her hips swayed as she was hipchecked, and a giggle slipped out as she looked to Mila. "Isaac was dealing with an innie rather than an outie. He also made out wi--" She stopped mid-sentence as Mila pulled off her shirt and passed it over. It was Christmas apparently. Any momentary confusion linger as she blinked at the shirt and held the wad of material to her nose and left it there. Her dialated eyes flashed to Keha, the shirt muffling her voice. "If you can do that chill about... He's not doing it right." Her eyes darted to Muriel, "Huh? What was dropped? I mean I know what wants to drop, but..." Still holding the tanktop to her face, she started looking over the deck under her boots.

Haruka had, it seems, arrived early, and found herself needing a rather urgent visit to the little foxgirl's room just as the ship was departing the dock. Her issues finally resolved, she re-emerges to join the party. She's dressed rather casually for the day, with dark blue cargo shorts, a white tank-top with an anime logo of some sort on it (to judge from the Japanese characters and the busty, skimpily-dressed catgirl emblazoned below), and a sporty little blue vest over that.

She's got her usual kit-bag over her shoulder, but when she sees the size of the crowd, and hears the talk of pickpockets, she adjusts it slightly so that the zippered pouch on the side faces into her back, away from anyone who might try to get into it. Can't be too careful, after all.

"Hey, all. Sorry I missed the launch, I think I disagreed with something that tried to eat me." Wait, what? "All better now, though. So, is anyone not having fun?" She does recognize Mila and Keha, and waves cheerily at the pair, offering a warm grin. "You do yoga? T'ai Chi? Maybe I should sign up for lessons."

Several people laugh and point at the water as they rush along, enjoying the sensation of the slowly rocking boat and the fresh ocean air. Some people are a bit nervous however as the weather starts to get colder, and many retreat to the cabin down below. Those once pristine skies are ever so slowly turning a darker shade of ominous grey-blue at the edges.

It is not raining steadily just yet, but there is definitely a chill in the air now, and it is quite windy now too. A few droplets of cold water start to fall here and there. In the distance, a sudden flash of sheet lightning briefly lights up the clouds, followed by a brief clap of thunder, rolling in the sky with a slightly ominous bass tone.

However, the ferry seems pretty steady in the water, and a few kids actually climb onto the railings of the deck to get a better look at the rushing water below and to enjoy the thrill of the wind in their hair. A section of the railing seems a bit rickety, creeking a bit under their weight..

"Aye." Muriel nods to Kirk, "Just some silly feather cap, a gift from me grandma." he may have seen her wear it once, when she was swimming in the sea. "But I cannae find it!" She frowns a bit, nodding slowly to Isaac and Mila, still somewhat distracted as she peers around the ground, searching frantically now, eyes narrowed as she searches the crowds for the bratty pickpocket.

However, there doesn't seem to be any sign of her feathered cap and she sighs, clenching and unclenching her hands, looking very upset, worried..And maybe even a little scared, oddly enough. "Security, aye. Hopefully they found it." she looks back to Kirk, "How about ye find us some seats, the weather is looking like it could get ugly. I'll be back in a bit." she smiles faintly, "I'm sure it'll be okay...I hope.." And she hurries off, vanishing into the crowds as she makes her way towards security..

Kirk ends up, after looking around, watching Muriel. "I remember," he tells her at what she's missing. His attention lingers on her, noting the distinct show of emotion that she has. He nods his head when she asks him to secure some seats. "Alright. And if I se the kid, I'll see about trying to corral him." He offers her a slight smile before he looks to the others. "Thanks for being watchful. Let me know if you spot the youth." He then looks around, considering just where might be good to sit. Though as he does so, he glances up at the changing weather.

The tide is high and slack.

Isaac blinks and then looks away as Mila removes her top, turning his attention to Keha as she snakes under his arm. "Why thank you." He says, replying with a bright smile. "It really is a wonderful view, although I'll admit to being more comfortable on dry land." Turning his attention away from the ocean, he looks back to Keha. "So yoga? Is it really as relaxing as people say. Obviously it does wonderful things for the body but I don't know how anyone manages to work out first thing. I've always preferred lunch time workouts myself." He looks over to Volya as she speaks, nodding as he recalls the incident. "Yes, that was a *really* long night but I'm glad you got home okay." The comments about 'innies' is quietly ignored and he finds himself coughing rather loudly when Volya mentions him getting off with someone. "Yes well, lesson learnt. Don't go kissing odd people in weird glades. Quite the adventure though."

He looks over and nods to Haruka as she arrives, squinting for a moment as he tries to place the face to see if he's met her before. "I think everyone is having fun, well, almost everyone." He looks back to Mila, Keha and Vee. "So Lysol? That's bleach right?" The thought taking a moment to process and then he clears his throat. "Right, I get it. Oh." He is distracted by the rain, opening his top a little and rather thankful for the cooling influence. Being quite warm himself, he's aware that others might not feel that way and he looks over to Keha. "Are you warm enough, I have a jacket should you need one?"

Mila snorted softly, looking over at Keha with a broad grin. "Come on ke kaikuahine nui, ain't no one better!" She waggled her brows as Keha took Isaac toward the edge of the boat to look out at the water. "And you can't say I don't try to find you guys, you're just so freakin busy all the time!" There was a broad smile on her lips watching Keha and Isaac interact, especially as he seemed a bit warmed by the experience. Mila looked at Volya then, grinning, her head cocking to the side. "Pupule wahine, I meant you could wear it instead of that crazy turtle neck." She chuckled and reached over to tug gently at a bit of Volya's blonde hair. "You might feel like you're melting less if you aren't wearing something designed for Aspen..."

Mila turned to look at Muriel and watched her walk off, sighing. "Pick pockets are just awful, they ruin so much about the fun stuff you can do out in public." She gave Kirk a nod, then a shrug. "Don't worry brah, if I see him, I'll make sure that he doesn't move another inch." She lifted her hand to wave to Haruka and gave her a grin. "Aloha, and Keha's the one that teaches yoga. I just do it when I'm feeling restless and the waves are playing hard to get." With her arm up, the chill wind happens to touch her along her bare skin, which might not have been so bad, but it also touches the typically quite warm flesh of her armpit, which made Mila shudder and bring her arm down, drawing both of them close and wrapping them around her torso. "AKUA! That's... insane. It's freaking June." She shudders again and looks out at the water, eyes narrowing as she scowled at the very weather. "It's not your time of year, bitch. Go away!" Mila's growling voice at the weather might well make it seem like her good time just got pissed on by the clouds.

Keha side-eyes Volya again. "It's been so long, I can't remember the proper ratio of chill to ecstatic. I'd take notes, but I'm usually trying to sleep." She then shoots Haruka a great big grin and nods, unwinding herself from Isaac's side to step into tree pose - the sole of one foot pressed against her upper thigh and her palms pressed together over her heart. "I do. I teach stand-up paddleboard yoga. I can't get Mila or Vee up early enough to join me. You should come, Haruka! It's energizing. Especially whenever somebody falls in the drink." She laughs at that visual, until she watches Muriel head off to find security, this look of worry a very unfamiliar look on the redhead. She pushes her glasses up her nose and nods to Kirk. "Oh, if I spot him, you'll know. I'll beat some manners into his okole, until they come out his nose."

Keha grins up at Isaac and nudges him with her elbow. "I don't mind the feel of a little rain on my skin, but that's very sweet of you to ask. I'll take you up on it later if I find I need a little warming up. Only some yoga is relaxing...some awakens your vitality, which has quite the opposite effect." The wink she tips up at the man comes along with a bump of her hip, which, for some reason, gives her a moment's pause. "Quite the boy scout, aren't you? Always prepared? Excuse me a moment, my twin has gone insane."

"Momilani Alamea, are you shouting at the weather? I mean, surely YOU aren't worried about a little water? Huh?" she teases her twin, a finger outstretched for maximum rib poking efficiency.

Volya rolled her eyes, "Kissing people in strange glades is exactly what you're supposed do which reminds, I so need to check on the house and see how the remodelling is going..." She trailed off at the cold rain hit her, and she hissed into the wadded shirt. Shuffling over to Mila, the taller blonde leaned against in an attempt to shield her from the cold, taking one last breath from the shirt, she passed it back to Mila. "Well... It's official. My fashion brain knew it was going to be cold and went with the turtleneck. I'm psychic." Volya nodded sagely. Eyeing Keha, Vee shook her head. "If you're thinking at all at ratios, you're don't it wrong. Isaac!" She grinned, "Fix her!" Giggling madly, she waved at Haruka.

Haruka returns Isaac's nod, more out of politeness than anything else, not recognizing him either. "I've been meaning to get back into some proper excercise," she continues. "Let me know when and where, and I'll be there. At least once. I could use some extra vitality these days." She grins again and hmms to herself, circling briefly around the pair to get a better look out at the water. "Mmm. Love this kind of sky. You ever see it when it's just slate gray, there's no light or shadow but you can see everything perfectly well? Beautiful..." She waves back to Volya, then makes her way to the rail, finally, leaning over to get a good look out at the water.

She pauses and takes a deep breath, savoring the scent, before reaching back for her kit-bag. "Is that a raindrop, or just spray?" Given the look of the sky, and one of the girls yelling at it, she really can't be sure...

Once the storm has started, it does not abate. The sudden chill in the air does not last too long and the temperature soon moderates but the rain is starting to patter down more steadily now, and there is still a bit of a wind blowing around. Most people have retreated below deck but a few still linger on deck, enjoying the wind and rain. Some over confident teens continue to lean on the deck railing, and it continues to creak a bit.

The tide is high and ebbing.

Muriel has already vanished amid the crowds, amid the slight rush of people who retreat to the cabin. However, she is already headed for security which is near the center of the ship, desperate to locate her missing cap. And she doesn't return for several minutes, doesn't meet Kirk below, or reappear for a while. However, given the brief crowd as people scramble for the cabin below, it is perhaps not surprising that she doesn't show up immediately..

Meanwhile, a few stubborn teens continue to laugh and sway on the already weakenned railing. And then a sudden, powerful blast of oddly cold wind seems to aim directly for that side of the boat, causing it to rock hard and fast. One or two of the startled teens lose their balance, falling over the edge with a scream.

Kirk can see some kind of storm is brewing. Be it small or large. As others head down below, he decides to take the same path. He's not dressed for a storm, after all. And he assumes Muriel will head down there as well soon enough. Not that he doesn't pause just before heading down to look around a moment. As he is headed down the stairs, the boat shifts and he's not ready for it. He manages to keep from spilling down the stairs, but his lurching stumble near the bottom ends with him jamming his shoulder into the nearby wall with a grunt, losing his balance, but catching himself awkwardly against it. "Damn," he grumbles under his breath.

"I typically prefer warmer weather myself." Isaac says, almost to himself as Keha goes off to check on Mila. He nods appreciatively as he watches Keha get into a yoga pose, totally not checking out her backside in the process. "Sorry, what? Paddle board yoga? How does that work?" He blinks at the 'boy-scout' comment and then grins to Keha. "Totally, card carrying. Hell, I still have my woggle somewhere." Still grinning, he looks over to Volya. "Ratios? Wrong, what? I'm so lost..." He obviously isn't getting the point that Vee is trying to get across, looking from her to Keha and back again, mouthing 'what' to the slight woman.

Isaac is about to say more when he is rocked by the gust that threatens to tip the boat, his face going white as he gets a sense of what is happening. Releasing his death grip from the rail, he quickly looks around. "Guys? You all okay?" He scans around from Mila, Keha and Volya, relief showing on his face when he sees that they're still onboard. Locking eyes with Vee, he tries to convey a sense of urgency as he calls out a word to her. "Winter." His face goes through a range of emotions as he says this, the young man doing his best to keep his emotions in check and possibly failing. "Fuck!" He glances at the railings of the boat and then to the water. "Did anyone fall in? Are there any of those life-ring-thingies about?"

Sticking her tongue out at her sister, Mila crossed her eyes. "Tell me you didn't feel that cold little breeze. I can't help it if I don't have enough body fat to make it so I don't feel that!" She grumbled and then glanced out at the weather, frowning when it got warmer again. "Well.. I mean, who says Papa and Rangi don't have disagreements about what sort of weather should happen, neh?" Mila was mid-way through accepting the shirt back from Volya as the boat rocked well and good beneath them. The surfer that she was, Mila was far too used to the sway of the ocean and the feel of her surface quaking underneath her, so she rode it much like a surf board, staying up on her feet and managing to look almost like she knew it was coming.

The kids falling into the water off the side of the boat had Mila's eyes widen as instead of grabbing her shirt once the boat stopped moving, she instead moved her hands to the top of her jean shorts, undoing them, and stepping out of both her shorts and her thong-style sandals at the same time. "Hold the shirt, baby. I'm going to go help the kids. Find a floaty ring thing and throw it in!" And with that, Mila rushed to the side of the boat, climbed up the railing, and dove into the water along the same side that the kids fell in. A bright pink flash of her swimsuit could be seen through the surface of the ocean as she made her way over to where the youngsters had gone over. She seemed to be heading directly toward them, and not worried whether the boat would leave them behind as it chugged along.

Keha reels as the gust hits the side of the boat, but the lithe little yogi does manage to keep her balance. Namaste. "Vee, I do NOT NEED FIXING!" she bellows, but the scream of the teenagers going over the side of the boat cuts her off. "Is everybody okay?" the smaller twin asks, looking around to see if anyone else has wiped out. And there goes Mila, over the side. "Mila! Dammit, wait for me!" Keha strips out of her University tee and jean shorts to reveal the white bikini beneath it, and last but not least her glasses hit the ground as she's already taking a running leap after the fallen teens. "Goddamn kids - there are signs about leaning on the rails -" she bellows, getting into the perfect diving form...until the boat jolts and pitches her over in a wild twist of limbs. "OH shiiiii-" SPLASH. She belly flops into the water like a tiny ton of bricks.

Staring at the deck, Volya kept upright as the rush of Wintery cold washed over the deck. Glancing about, she started tracking figures. The singular word from Isaac caused green to burn through the blue of her irises. Growling, she wiggled her fingers. "Alright... I'll try to count them as they happen and..." She stared as Keha and Mila jumped overboard, "And so the wet t-shirt contest begins... YAY!"

Droplets splash in puddles at mid-day.

Haruka's head darts side to side as she looks up and down the rail for - there. Right where they ought, just as the safety regs the old sailors at the base had taught her about. "You!" she yells, pointing at the person nearest one of them. "C'mon, let's get them out of that! Get that life-ring out, get it ready! Don't toss it yet!"

A little ways further down she finds someone to hold another one, and then runs back and forth tying proper knots for each, making them fast to something a bit more secure than the rail.

"You," she points to someone else as she ties the first knot, "Call some of the crew, we have people overboard! Tell them to stop the engines!"

"Soon as you hear the engines stop, throw!"

Spotting a third rescue float she secures it the same as the rest and makes ready to send it sailing out into the water. Less than a minute, hopefully, passes before the time comes to do so.

The rocking of the boat has already thrown a lot of people into chaos, but Haruka's quick thinking has managed to bring some order to the chaos. A couple of crew run out as the boat rocks, glancing around, reaching for life preservers. "Hey you down there! You alright?" they call as they see Mila and Keha already in the water. One of them calls into his radio and the engines slow to a stop, the other tossing the life preservers towards them. The two teens continue to scream and struggle in the water, neither of them good swimmers. However, Mila is rapidly approaching them and they scream and flail towards her. "Help us!"

The captain comes on the intercom as people start to panic. "Everyone, please retreat below deck, until the storm stops! We will be heading back to shore shortly. Please remain calm!" Muriel has not re-emerged, probably lost amid the chaos of the rocking ship. As Mila and Keha head out towards the struggling teens, droplets of rain clump together above Mila, forming a blade of ice that shoots out towards her.

Kirk is having trouble below decks. The rolling of the ship is not something hat he's used to. And that quickly works against him as he zigs when he should have zagged, hitting his head something fierce. Hard enough to drop him into a heavy daze, though some people with presence of mind get him laid down. But for now, he's of no use to anyone.

"That's going to leave a mark!" Isaac winces as he watches Mila and then Keha dive into the water, the latter leaving something of a crater in the water. He watches in something of a daze as the more quick thinking members of the party arrange for the boat to be stopped and for life rings to be handed out, seeming content to hang by the railing as he watches the commotion below. This all changes when he spots the ice shards aiming for the swimmers below. "Oh you fucking didn't!" Letting out a snarl, he sinks down to knees and wraps an arm around a railing, reaching out with his other hand to the water below. A heat haze seems to envelop his body, spreading down his arm to his hand and then out to the water, ending up with a fairly large circle a few feet over the swimmers. Rain and water hiss as they come into contact with the weird, hazy shape, Isaac meanwhile is gritting his teeth as he concentrates on keeping the construct up.

While in the water, Mila had turned to her side, reaching over to help one of the teenagers clear of the hull of the boat. As she came up for air, presumably, she spotted a freaking ice blade in the sky above her and let out a surprised sound. "...HELL?!" Only to have a sudden, shimmering lid of heat come into being that made a nice little barrier overhead. "Niiiiice. I owe you a beer!" She called out loudly to the boat, to whomever might be protecting herself, her sister, and the kids that had fallen in. This being Hawaii, it's likely they could swim, but she moved to them anyway to help keep them afloat with her strong legs as she tugged them over. "Come on, Keha! Grab one of these!" She had one kid in one arm, and the other with her opposite, but didn't seem too worried when her head went under water every so often, and just kept the two other heads she was actually concerned for out of the water.

Keha isn't able to catch up to Mila as quickly as she'd intended, thanks to her less than graceful entrance into the water. But at least she's close enough to grab a life preserver and holler back to the crew, "We're fine! Gonna go get those dumbass kids. Haul this lifeline back in when we tell you!" She hauls the life preserver closer to Mila and the kids, and then starts bellowing at Mila at the sight of the ice blade, "Momilani! You pissed off Father Sky! What did I tell you?! You should listen to me and respect your elders!" She squints at the sizzling construct melting the ice away, having left her glasses on the boat. "That looks like an improvement. Is that an improvement? Here, put a kid on this ring! They can haul in one, you can use your butt as a floatation device and get the other." She grabs the arm of one of the kids as Mila drags him to her and helps him get secure on the life ring.

Volya was still scanning from person to person, taking in a shape breath when the icicles started forming and raining down into the water. "I swear on that is-- If my girlfriends or her sister-- You know what? Fuck it, I'll just lose my shit." Growling, she yelled, "Isaac! Keep shielding while I figure out if I'm just going to burn the entire boat down or something..." Farther speech devolved into Russian. It was happy Russian, more a continuous flow of syllables as she started climbing her way up to the captain's deck. "I swear someone is going to get hurt..."

Haruka continues darting from point to point along the rail, watching the rescue attempt carefully, guiding the crew and volunteers in hauling the drenched children back into the boat. She certainly seems to know what she's doing, and with a commanding attitude - learned from years of watching officers and NCO's at work - she seems to be getting things done effectively. Most of the work is on Keha and Mila, though, down in the water, as nothing can be done until the swimmers are onto the life-rings and ready to be hauled up.

"You," she calls to another crew member standing around, "Get blankets, towels, hot drinks, dry clothes, whatever you can." Then she grabs hold of a line and starts to help haul a swimmer up and free of the water.

The ice bolt slams into the warm shield of magic, sparing Keha and Mila below. The two teens start panicking and reaching for Mila at the same time, struggling to keep afloat. As Keha offers the life preservers, one of the kids reaches out for it, sputtering. Phew, at least they're both safe now! The two yellow rain jacket figures peer down below and soon retreat back into the captain's cabin. As Haruka continues to bark out orders, the crew stare at her a moment in surprise. However, she seems to be keeping people calm and they nod, grabbing for some towels. "Dont worry, those waters aren't that cold, although that blast of wind was pretty weird. These towels should be fine."

Moments later, Muriel is hurrying down those same stairs, glancing around with a concerned look on her face as she searches for Kirk. She's still in her bathing suit and sarong skirt, not terribly bothered by all the rain. "Kirk?" she calls out, rubbing her head and looking a bit tired, a bit confused perhaps. "Kirk, where did ye go?"

Shifting his concentration for a moment, Isaac looks over to Volya and nods, a wolfish grin showing on his face as he does so. "Good hunting!" Turning his attention back to the water, he takes a deep breath and pours more energy into his spell. Drawing on his reserves, Isaac actually manages to expand the shield a little along with keeping it up, the heat haze that is surrounding him doing a wonderful job of keeping him dry in the process. After the initial shock, he seems more focused now, certainly not happy but at least not panicking.

The tide is low and ebbing.

Mila grinned to Keha and gave her a wink as she took one of the kids. "Lucky for me, my hopehope is just right for keeping us all above water, or we'd have drowned waiting for you. Nice dive, maika'i." She snickered, then followed the line with the life preserver bearing teenager. She just carried the other one with her. It might have something to do with the fact that she was built like a matchbox-sized Mack truck, but Mila didn't seem to have any problems at all swimming with a human sized barnacle attached to her. When they got to the side of the ship, she waited while the first kid was pulled up with the aid of the life preserver, then helped heft the other up to the edge of the boat to get to drier land. Treading water, she looked up at the side of the boat and saw Isaac with his rather glorious summer glow. "Damn, now you have to fuck him. Mahalo, Isaac. I owe you a beer, and I'll throw in a weekend with my sister. I'll just pretend to be her at work while you make sure you've got your fill." Yeah, she glanced over at Keha with a wicked grin, waggling her brows.

Keha grumbles at her sister, but she can't complain overmuch as Mila bodily hauls the kid to safety. "My belly hurts," she belly-aches, but it's rather good-naturedly as the immediate threat to the teenagers seems past. She treads water next to Mila and squints up at Isaac - still no glasses, so the glow is probably just confused for poor distance vision. "You'll have to tell me what you did over dinner, Isaac. I can't see shit but you sure do look shiny with the boat lights behind you. I think that's the lights..." For what it's worth, she tries to kick Mila under the surface of the water. She squints up at other familiar faces, and catches a familiar-ish blur issuing orders. "Haruka, was that you with the life preservers? That was quick thinking. Is everybody up there okay? Where's Vee? And can I get a hand up?" She stretches up one hand, keeping herself afloat with the other.

Volya stopped on the stairwell blocking Muriel's way. "So first you crank up a pig. When you have a dogodile hump my girlfriend, and now you're launching ice spears at her?" The corner of Vee's mouth twitched, her irises burning like bright embers. Her fingers slowly flexed and relaxed, "I'm not saying that I'm going to light you on fire, but I am saying I'm quickly getting to this emotionally unstable place where Deep Purple may have been right about the Smoke on Water... Fire in the Sky..." A warm breeze swirled up the staircase, teasing the hair of its occupants.

With the last of the swimmers hauled aboard, Haruka turns her attention to the volunteer rescuers. "Good work, you two!" she yells down to them. When one asks about someone, she turns around and looks, makes a quick count, and is perhaps just quick enough to spot someone disappearing down the stairway. Okay, so that's where they went.

"Everyone's fine up here! Come on up!" She reaches out a hand to help the girl aboard, a smile on her lips despite the chill breeze. "We got everyone out of the water... who you looking for?"

Once the two teens are out of the water, the two deck hands help them to their feet and wrap the towels around them to dry them off. A quick check confirms that they are going to be just fine and they start to lead them back to the deck, pausing briefly to nod to Keha and Mila, "Thank you for your help girls, we'll take it from here!" the ferry rumbles a bit as the engines come back to life and the ferry starts to head back to shore. It's been a harrowing day, and everyone is probably eager to get back on dry land.

Muriel pauses as she meets Volya on the stairway, looking utterly confused, and a little annoyed. "Excuse me, what are you talking about? I know I hit my head on the way up there when the boat rocked and I was looking for something that someone stole from me, and they told me I might find it in the captain's cabin. If ye be looking for someone, maybe they're up there." she jerks a thumb upwards towards the cabin. "Excuse me, but I have to find my friend Kirk, he could be injured.."

Isaac watches as people are pulled out of the water, keeping most of the concentration on his shield but still taking an interest. Seeing Mila and Keha pop to the surface, he offers them a cheerie wave. Starting to rather enjoy himself, he pours even more power into the shield, surprising himself when it almost doubles in size, the scents of fresh summer days and green meadows starting to permeate the air around him now. "No hurry girls but you probably should get out of the water, also, I think Vee is going to kill someone." Isaac's opinion on the matter is hard to read, that and the heat haze around him is starting to mute his features a little. He does seem to be grinning though, quite enjoying the feeling of the power as it courses through him.

Mila waited til Keha's hand was taken by a deck hand, and then she moved up under her sister and gave a heavy shove to Keha's butt, pushing her up to the side of the deck quickly, and simultaneously shoving herself under the water. When she resurfaced, she was laughing, wiping water from her face. "Worth it.." Then she reached up to grab a hand and the side of the boat with her other hand, helping those that were guiding her up by taking most of her weight with her own arm. Once they were both back on the deck, Mila flashed a smile over at Isaac and a wink. "Seriously, I will totally take a day or two off surfing and live her boring ass lecture life while you keep her holed up for a weekened, Brah. My treat even. I'll rent the room." She nudged Keha and then blinked, her eyebrows raising. "Wait, Vee's killing someone?" And with that, Mila was popped up to her feet like she hadn't been sitting at all, and wandering further down the deck, calling loudly "VEE?!"

As Mila passed by Haruka, she gave her a grin and patted her shoulder. "Mahalo, Haruka. You were awesome. Quick on the feet!" And then she kept moving, obviously searching for a possibly homicidal girlfriend.

Keha finds herself suddenly hoisted up the side of the boat via butt propulsion, and she's back on deck and quickly reuninted with her glasses. The smaller twin in the white bikini thumps against the summer-scented Englishman, resting her head against his arm as she lightly strokes the angry red water burn on her belly. "You're warm and you smell nice," she declares. "Mila, don't let Vee kill anyone!" In answer to Haruka's question, she grins and points after the charging Mila, "I was looking for my sister's girlfriend, but she's on it. It sounds like she's going to stop her from turning us all into a boat-b-que."

Haruka's pleased enough to help the twins aboard, and once it's done and the kids are all toweled off and in dry clothes, that's it, right? It's all over?

Of course fething not. "Going to - WHAT?" Oh bloody heck. "Who's going to - what t'heck did I miss?"

Volya just stared at Muriel, and removed her rose-colored glasses. "Glasses aren't going to change the same bitches gonna lie." Raising the blade of her hand in front of her, she called over her shoulder. "ISAAC! Found popsicle girl, she's coming down the stairs!" Volya took a deep breath as darked green vein spread through her skin, "Now move..." The words came out as a snarl as the warm Summer breeze in the stairwell whipped into a frenzied gale around Volya, battering Muriel like a tornado of near burning air that tore at her Wintery defense until it shattered. The force slamming Muriel against the wall and sending the woman rolling down the stairs. Volya picked up her foot to let Muriel pour past, "May want to think about which side you're on." The Changeling continued her march up the stairs towards the upper deck. "Oh captain, my captain!"

"Stop! This isn't what it looks like!" Instinctively Muriel brings up her arms to attempt to block the spell. However, Volya's magic cuts through her defences, and with a yelp of surprise and pain, she stumbles down the steps in a crumpled, pained heap. "Please, allow me to tend to my friend, then I will tell you all I know." she mumbles, staggering to her feet but not looking like she's about to flee or attack either way. "But I say one thing, and this is no lie, someone else is controlling me against my will.." Once Volya reaches the top, she may find the captain's door is open with the other yellow slicker clad person having already fled during the skirmish on the stairs. Fortunately the ship is already on auto pilot, and nearing land soon.

Isaac lets out a laugh as Mila launches Keha out of the water, "Okay, taking advice to heart. I can work with that!" Only once everyone is out of the water does he lower his shield, keeping hold of his magic though as it just feels so damn good. He grins happily to Keha when she bumps into him, looking over to her and taking a deep breath. "And you smell wonderful, even after that little dip." Grinning, he watches as Mila charges off towards where Volya might be. "Vee's after whoever was throwing ice daggers at you, I think there's someone from Winter aboard and well...erm, we typically don't get on, you know? It's a 'thing' and it grates somewhat." Turning, he looks over to Haruka. "Bad mojo. I mean, did you see those ice-daggers? Nasty stuff." Looking to Keha, he smiles. "I'd offer to give you a vigorous towelling off but you're going to be dry in no time at this rate, mores the pity." At the call from Volya, his demeanour changes, the heat haze spreading over his body once more as he pulls on more of Summer's power. Getting to his feet, he offers Keha a hand up and then starts to head towards Mila, Muriel and Vee.

He only catches the tail end of Vee's spell but can surely see the impact, his attention focusing on Muriel as she begins to speak. "Controlling you against your will? Heavy" There is an edge to his voice as he says this, perhaps even a little empathy. "That sounds awful."

Mila stopped her rather brisk walk along the deck as she saw the bundle that was Muriel come spilling from the stairs. "Oh shit, Muriel?!" She looked caught halfway between going over to pick her up and jumping back in surprise. "Well.. shit. You freaking serious?" A look of horror entered Mila's eyes for a moment, then she looked at the stairwell. "Isaac... if something's controlling you and Muriel... VEEE!" She called out up the stairs and then leapt over Muriel's fallen form, taking the steps up to the Captain's deck three at a time, attempting to get to Vee to make sure that all the delightful Fae in her life weren't suddenly being controlled by something with a penchant for attempting to create new holes in Mila's body. "You yourself?!"

Volya stares at the lack of people at the controls and raises her index finger, her mouth falling open. "Right..." Her glowing emerald eyes narrowed before her mouth closed. "Oh fuck this!" Whirling around to stare at Mila, she started smiling like a goof, "Me? I think I'm always me, even when I don't want to admit it was me. It's uhhh..." Stepping up to Mila, Volya ran her fingers over the woman's abs. "So... You wanna..." Gasping, she shouted, "Hold that thought!" Stomping back down the stairs back to the main desk, she stopped to scream at Muriel. "STOP FUCKING LYING TO ME!" Growling, she continued her war path, scanning for crew. "Will someone please drive the boat? There's lights and stuff, but my track record with anything motorized is questionable."

Running after the twins, Haruka stumbles into the confrontation just as Volya starts in on the shouting. Once again she missed just about everything. Well, she'll get one of the twins to fill her in later. Buy them a drink or something. Or chocolate. That always works.

"Crew are taking care of the boat, calm yourself down and let them do their jobs." She growls low in her throat, actually glaring at the girl. "Calm. Down."

There comes a point when, no matter how raw your ocean-burned belly is, you just can't stay out of the ruckus. Keha has just reached that point. Making sure her glasses are now firmly in place, the smaller of the twins bounds over towards the gaggle around Muriel, joining the group just a step or two behind Haruka. "What's going on? Who has popsicles? What's the bad mojo? Is the kid? Do we need to kick his ass? I have a lot of questions." Well, obviously. She folds her lean arms across her rather prepubescent chest.

Muriel grits her teeth, still smarting from the fall, resting her hand on the nearby wall for support. Dammit, she's never been so humiliated in her life. "No, I dunna think it will affect either one of them..Your friends are safe." Muriel draws a deep breath glancing around, "So. Are you going to let me check up on my friend? That was a nasty rock earlier, and I am NOT happy that I was used to harm people against me will. Not in the least. I want to stop them as much as the next person..."

She pauses, peering up at Mila as she rushes up the stairs and rolls her eyes, muttering something under her breath. At least for now no one else is trying to attack her, and so Muriel steps into the cabin, searching for Kirk, quite concerned. She eventually finds him unconscious against one of the walls and she very carefully eases him onto one of the nearby seats, checking his vitals and watching over him until she is certain he's gonna be okay. She steps back out in time to hear Volya screaming at her and she cringes, stepping back. "I apologize, okay? It won't happen again. Now please...Let's find the real enemy, together."

Fortunately the two deck hands exchange a look and rush off to the captain's quarters, apparently knowing enough to steer the ship back into the dock, back to safety.

"I'm not under control...well, if you don't count raging...hormones." Isaac clears his throat and looks after Mila as she charges up the stairs to the where the boaty piloty chaps should be. He doesn't seem overly concerned with there being no pilot, still riding the wave of the magic that is still flowing through him. That said, now that the immediate threat is over he does ease back a bit, leaving him with just a slight haze and the usual summer smells following him around. Watching as Keha comes up along side, he tries to fill her in. "Muriel was mind controlled I think? She was forced to cast those nasty spells that hit the boat. She's be the popsicle lady Vee was referring to. Pilot seems to be missing but the crew are sorting it out I think. Oh and I think her friend is missing as well." He nods, fairly happy with his summary. "I think that about covers it? No firey death today. Probably."

The tide is low and slack.

Mila looked at Volya for a long moment, blinking in surprise, then grinning and shaking her head. "Man, You'd think I was used to this side of it after you go off and welcome Summer in with your legs wide open." Of course, then Volya was off, back down the stairs, and Mila trailed after hot on her heels. With the shouting at Muriel, then the request for a pilot, there was a brief moment where Mila might not have been breathing. When the two crewmen took off to handle it, though, Mila was able to take in a long, deep gust of air. Looking to Haruka when she told Volya to calm down, Mila chewed her lower lip for a moment and then she nodded in agreement with the sentiment. What do to when your hot blooded, rather hot headed, girlfriend elects to ride the waves of emotion? Well. You steer them the right direction, away from collateral damage. Slipping her arms around Vee's waist, she pulled the taller (today) blonde woman back and spun her slightly, so she was suspended in Mila's arms, and gave her a grin. "Better uses for a mouth, pupule wahine." And then, Mila proceeded to kiss Volya silly, doing her level best to make sure that her attention wasn't on Muriel, or anyone else for that matter.

Keha drums her fingers against her mostly-dry folded arms, overhearing what Muriel calls up the stairs to Volya. "So...the ship captain might be an accomplice of the pickpocket, and they're using Muriel to fuck shit up in my reef. Have I got that mostly right? Because that's a good way to get an ass-whooping. And the reef never forgets a face." Every lean muscle in Keha's body is tense as a snake about to strike, with her foot tapping rapidly. "This is my day off, I am supposed to be relaxing!" she bellows up into the sky, looking for some sympathy from Rangi.

Looking back to Haruka, and then to the extremely effective techniques Mila has employed to calm Volya, and then back to Haruka, she grins at the girl, "Don't worry. My sister will redirect all of that energy to something much less productive. We probably will make it home without anything getting lightly roasted. So...see you tomorrow at 6am for sunrise yoga? I'll bring the boards, you just come ready to get your enlightenment on. Isaac is going to be there, too." Keha pushes her glasses up her nose and reaches over to try and hook her finger through Isaac's beltloop. "Okay you. You're coming with me."

Volya blinded at Haruka, "Calm? Did I light something on fire?" The woman took a couple of quick glances back and forth. "I don't think I... I was considering starting a bonfire with my clothes, but that's because it's really hot and I'm sweating." Glancing at Muriel again, her mouth opened and she was swept off her feet by Mila. Staring up at the woman blinking, she melted into that kiss, her hand making a couple gestures in response to people before they ended in a nails biting into Mila's back.

Haruka considers it for a moment, taking in what she's heard and fitting the story together - and it really just doesn't make sense. No, there's something she's missing. She knows illusions, and knows when she's being presented one. And there's definitely something not quite right here.

She starts to say something to Volya, but then... well. "Uhm... sure. Enjoy." She waves to the two and lets them go, not willing to interrupt further.

"Oh-six-hundred, got you. See you in the morning." She sighs and looks over to Muriel for a moment. "We're going to need to talk sometime soon. I'm going to see if I can help the crew get this thing back to the pier... you go take care of your friend and don't disappear on me, okay?" She sighs in frustration, and looks down at the deck, then out at the water. "This was not how I wanted to spend my fething Sunday."
