Plot(s)

Plot:The Gifts of Oahu

The lovely cove off the volcanic beach is a nice little place for evening star-gazing, and tonight was leading to no disappointments there. The cloudless sky is filled with a myriad of bright lights, and no mood currently, so it was easy to see all of the sky's diamonds twinkling away. Against the darkness of the volcanic beach's sand, it's almost ethereal, and can give the feeling of walking through the sky.

The ocean laps at the beach as the tide rolls in, bringing with it the sound of crashing waves and the image of starlight dancing on high crests as they break.

Leif and Kilia were on the beach doing just that gazing at the stars as they layed on a big beach blanket. There was an ice chest just off to the side. Leif was reclined back with his hands tucked under his head head as he looks at the stars. He was dressed in a off white linen button up shirt with tiny white stripes and a pair of blue board shorts. "Peaceful night. It's been a while since we had one of those."

Standing out alone on a nearby outcropping of rock is a woman with two toned hair. Familiar to some, though tonight her hair is red and black, rather than green and purple or white and purple. Her hood drawn back, she stands at the very edge, almost precariously so, staring out at the water as the wind blows against her. Her expression is intense and her focus, for the moment, is completely focused on the water and the distant horizon. How long she's been there is an easy question. Stillness and darkness make it easy to sneak and easy to be missed at a glance.

Mila had come to the beach for the same reason most locals would, to enjoy the night sky. She'd dragged along her twin, Keha, of course, and no outing could be complete without the presence of Volya coming along. The trio had stopped and picked up some food on the way, each of them eating their chosen fare, with Mila's being a huge, steamed rice bun filled with spicy pulled pork. She settled onto the dark sand of the beach and looked up to the sky while she chewed on her bite of food, humming thoughtfully, "Damn, it's pretty up there." She murmured thoughtfully. Mila was dressed in a set of cut off, blue jean shorts and a bright blue tank top that fit her comfortably close and left most of her hardened physique bare to the night air. Naturally, since she was visiting a beach, her feet were naked and in need of no shoes, so she'd likely just left them back in the car when they'd arrived.

Just this side of fully recovered, Joachim had gone out for a late night walk and a bit of stargazing, a fairly cheap telescope in a bag over his shoulder. The sand under his feet hampered his movement slightly, and with being careful and all his movement was pretty slow. Still, he had a wide smile on his face as he watched the shore line slowly pass by with every step. Dark brown hair was blown this way and that, leaving it rather unruly, and his brown eyes looked out through a pair of glasses. Dressed in a light pair of tan pants and a loose blue short-sleeved shirt, he stopped to admire the water, nodding to the shadowed figures nearby. Hands in his pockets, he heard and smiled over to where Mila's voice had come from. "Always is."

Leif may be stargazing, but Kilia's attention is a little bit elsewhere at the moment. She's on her side, propped up on elbow wearing a loose hoodie of olive green, and board shorts of her own in a melange of cream and tan hues, the pattern a mash up of tropical flowers and palm fronds. Her fingers play with the opening at the topmost button that Leif has buttoned, and she nods an assent to his observation. "One of the perks of having a large family. Someone is always happy to look after the little one for awhile." She gives a little lift to her eyebrows, not suggestive in that manner, but just that they are on their own, some quiet that is unlikely to be interrupted by child wail of any kind.

Keha is stretched out on the beach next to her twin noshing on her own snack of choice, spam musubi. The oh-so-slightly smaller and older twin has her brown to blonde ombre'd hair braided in twin pigtails, and she's wearing her chunky plastic frame glasses that come out occasionally. Her pale blue midriff t-shirt reads "Namastay in bed" and she has a pair of black, knee-length yoga pants on - what need was there for shoes, here? "The sky is pretty here. It's nice to be away from the light pollution of Honolulu - did you know that from central Honolulu you can only see 20 of the stars? Don't get me started on what it does to the circadian rhythms of people, animals and plants who actually live there..." CHOMP. Because apparently she doesn't have time to explain. Spam first.

It is a beautiful evening for stargazing, and after an intense day of auditions and practicing, Muriel can use a much-needed break. For once, she steps out onto the beach without her smaller harp strapoed to her back, determined to relax and enjoy the night. As is often the case, she is dressed in a seafoam green dress this time, soft and cottony, slit at the sides with an elaborate gold belt twisted in a celtic knot at her waist and matching sandals on her feet. Striding along the shoreline, she does recgnize Joachim from the other night and she pauses, nodding at him. "Evenin' Joachim." she calls to him in her cool, crystalline voice.

"ARRRR! Avast me hearties! The captain be wantin' shells for windchimes!" Volya bellowed to the volcanic beach. She was clad in a brown two-piece, wooden bracelets clack around her wrist as the air whistled off the tip of her driftwood sword. Her cowgirl boots were worn, but they had not made to the duct-tape stage of life. "Surely a scallop or two 'ave met their end upon these rocky shores!" Touching her face, she lifted the fold of red bandana acting as an eyepatch uncovering her eye. "Me thinks the merfolk stole them all to use for their A-cups... Foolish fish! Ain't no man that alter course for a chest as flat as the cabin boy--!" Stumbling on the uneven territory, she catch herself and whirled around at the offending ground, treatening it with a hooked index. "You wish to cross blades with Blue-eyed Vee? This was your last m-- OH!" Kneeling down, narrowed her eyes at the ground and picked up a shell to add to a jar in her oversized Rastafarian hacky sack of a shoulder bag. A giggle slipped out of the woman, "Seashell by the seashore." She stuck her tongue out at Mila and Keha, tiptoeing around of them while shimmy her hips and flapping her arms slowly like a bird, stick and all.

It's the water young Zep had come for. With that colored hair of her, her soft blue skirtkini (does she alwasy wear that?) and sandals, she looks quite comfy, strolling with her feet ankle-deep in the water. It's Joachim that first draws her attention, however. Look! "Hey, Jo!" Her face lights up a few shades, and between that and spotting Muriel mere moments later, a smile is finding the young woman's face. "Out for a night swim, or a just some stargaz..." She stops and just stares at Volya. Staring. Staring. Staring. Yeah. This is the literal definition of words failing. For they have failed Zep, and as a result, she has nothing to curse them with. Oh wait, she found one,"Buuuuuh? What?" Two, if 'buh' counts as a word.

Leif looks to Kilia, "OH? Oh... I like the the way you think." He says leaning in to kiss Kilia on the lips. The stars and the lack of the moon forgotten for the moment. Then voices comes in with the wind. He breaks the kiss and looks at Kilia with a raised eyebrow, "Scallywags? A-cups?" He then cracks in a smile and chuckle. "I guess we got company. Might have to slip off somewhere else." He says moving to grab drinks for them and sitting up.

Lola head cants slightly. The sound of voices nearby. Her body leans slightly with the tilt of her head. Her eyes slide towards the side of the cant, lingering for a few moments before her eyes slid towards the water again. Staring out at the water some more. Because, for now, that is what she is here for. She can trouble the people later.

Mila grinned over at her sister and shook her head. "I swear, Hiapo, you and your knowledge of all that. And yet even working around all the lights and giving all your late nights to the cause, you remember to wake up at the crack of dawn to do your yoga." She winked to Keha and then looked at Joachim with a broad smile. "Aloha ahiahi to you, Joachim. You look like you're doing much better!" Seeming to be pleased at this, Mila gave Joachim a solid nod and then looked over to Muriel and then Zep with a smile, offering her a warm "Aloha ahiahi, miss, miss." Then of course, Volya had her triumphant finding of a shell after her stout statements of piratehood. A bright, amused laugh left Mila with her abdomen shaking as she in turn shook her head in disbelief. "I don't think the shells would be willing to go against such a pupule wahine, Vee. You've certainly won them over with just the threat." She watched the woman 'bird flap' her way around herself and Keha, letting out another laugh that was rife with amusement. She glanced at Keha and grinned darkly. "Maybe they'll stop stealing your bras if they find enough shells?"

Kilia easily leaned her weight onto Leif's chest for the kiss, her hand slipping up and over his shoulder. The first few voices, though familiar, aren't enough to grab her attention. However, the assault on the beach for plunder finally pulls her to break the kiss, as well, and she chuckles. Giving a little grunt she pushes herself off him as he sits up, and looks to the sands. "I guess..." she considers as he makes for them to move, but she reaches for her drink. "Let me have another sip, first," she requests. She unfolds to a standing position as she debates the moving along part, and notes the twins and the others, but considers not really announcing her own presence with a call of Aloha, if they're just going to be moving along.

Joachim grinned, raising a hand to the twins. "Aloha! Glad to see you again, and glad to see you're doing alright." He brushed hair out of his eyes and smiled, nodding to Muriel. "Looks like we keep running to each other on beaches. How have you been Muriel?" His attention was dragged away from the rest of the conversation by the woman claiming shells across the beach in triumphant style. So much so that it took him a moment to look away and smile at Zep, waving. "Well hey! Aloha Zep."

The sound of a car is heard pulling up into the parking area some small distance away from the cove, above it along the cliff-line over the beachy shore. The engine was loud enough that one might assume there was no muffler to speak of, and it shut off with a massive, burping GULCH sound that might confirm that suspicion even further. Grunting noises were heard, and then something heavy thudded. "Come on, Nivia. Put your damn back into it." A grumpy, female voice stated, loud enough that it was clear she was perturbed. Several loud, sharp sounds were heard as something solid thwapped repeatedly into sheet metal, ringing it like a high-hat.

Dark, sardonic, laughter drifted into the night as a door creaked open on the unseen vehicle, then slammed shut. "You two have it or do you need help? Because it sounds like you really, really need help." More laughter came from the second female voice, which had been pitched somewhat higher than the first, and by far less filled with the growl of annoyance.

Keha wrinkles her nose and sticks out her tongue at her sister. "Of course I wake up at the crack of dawn, I can't sleep through your snoring, Kaikaina! The yoga just helps me work out the kinks. Or, work some of them back in, depending on who comes to class." She double-quirks her eyebrows and growls. As Joachim approaches, Keha raises her hand and waves to the man addressing twin. "Aloha!" she greets with a big grin, and she does her best not to sneak peeks of Leif and Kilia's moment together across the beach, but when the blonde rises, she offers another cheerful Aloha.

She notes the arrival of the sage-clad Muriel and the skirtini'ed Zep with a relaxed wave, and cheers Volya on with a hollered, "Avast, BlondeBeard, ye be the fierest booty to claim booty from these shores!" But then...then Mila's shell joke sinks in. "Hey Volya, if they're taking my bras, can you see if you can find any giant clamshells for Mila's butt?" And she launches herself at her sister with wide-flung arms. "I'mma get you for that one, you need to respect your elders!"

The first thing to catch Muriel's attention is the crazy woman ranting in a mock pirate voice and insulting mermaids. Stormy grey eyes narrow as she peers coldly at her. "Is she serious..? What be her problem?" she states in her thick Irish accent, clearly offended by something she said. Glancing back at Joachim, she relaxes a bit, noticing the telescope, "Aye, be you star gazin' then? Ye mentioned you were an astronomer, yea?" Finally she sees Zep and gives her an almost friendly smile and nod. "Aloha, Zep, Tis good t'see you again." she just nods knowingly, looking back at Volya. "Can ye believe this?!" She glances only briefly at Mila and nods, semi distracted. "Aloha, miss. Quite the gathering out here, aye?" Finally she notices Lola again but does not know her name still. "Hmm ye seem terribly interested in somethin' over there, aye?" she smirks.

Volya's flapping arms slowed to stop a stop, her booted feet stopped soon after. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion as people started to greet one person then the next. "Arrrr? Me thinks this beach no longer be secretive enough for burying me treasure." Her stick came up in an arch so the tip hung at eye level. "Me sword thinks the touch of blood will keep its keen edge. Aye, but there me costs in speaking to your sword for too long. It be the space madness of the seas..." Her fingers wrapped over the tip of the sword, and she rested it against her shoulder. "Ahoy--" Vee gently cleared her throat, "Aloha..." She craned her head away from her driftwood stick, "He's a bit sensitive right now, but what he means is good evening..." Her attention drifted back to Keha and Mila, "No need for shells for Mila's booty. That would be unlawful censorship of art." There was a sagely nod even as one sister attacked another.

"Oh SHUT UP!" A voice more filled with anger than anything called out in return to who only knew, could be both other voices. This voice, too, was feminine, and sharp with the edge of frustration and disgruntled annoyance. The sound of that heavy thudding against metal could be heard a few more times, like someone tapdancing on top of a grate of solid sheet metal with hard rocks, and then a couple of heavy thuds occurred, sounding much like they were on the ground, due to their deadened revertebration. Luckily, the sound of metal being struck stopped entirely once the thuds started on the packed earth of the parking area.

Her eyes dart over to take in Lola for a moment before Zep's eyes flick back to Mila and her warm greeting,"Aaah, crap... gimme a moment... what's the... right... Aloha ahiahi ia... ookoo?" Yeah. She's not so good with the pronunciation of, like, any Hawaiian phrases, and her heavy rural Texas accent doesn't help. She approaches Joachim with a steady walk, cheeks warm with a slight blush, a wave to the remaining enthusiastic greeters,"Is this more astrophysics, or are you planning to science the crap out of those stars?" Muriel's question gets a sort of wry answer,"Well... Um... I think maybe a little of the crazy is going around, but... she's not really hurting anyone, so I guess the best I can say is... it's good to have hobbies? I'm... happy for her?" It's hard to ignore that noise, of course. And the anger in that voice as it shouts whips Zep's head around. Is this a meal on its way? She didn't know this beach had a delivery service!

Leif reaches over to his beer. "We're in a hurry but we're not in that big of a hurry." He says turning up the bottle and taking a big swig. "You want to go meet the booty pirates? What are they doing anyway?" He says looking towards Volya, Keha and Milia. He hadn't quite made them out yet. "Ahoy matey! The Magistrate rulled that sea shells should remain where they are for all the view or so my..." He looks at Kilia, "Your going to beat me sorr. It's pirate talk." His voice quiet to Kilia and then raises it again, "Or as my sauscy Wench has reminded me and threated to smach me upside the head for not obeying!"

The ruckus made by the car draws Lola's attention, the woman leaning slowly towards it, her head lolling in an uncomfortable looking way to set her eyes towards it. Her expression is one of general displeasure and lazy curiosity. "Not anymore," she states in a gruff voice in answer to Muriel. She turns away from the water, her head rolling to loosen her neck a bit. She jumps down off the rock, hands coming together to firmly crack the knuckles of one hand, then the other. "Too quiet anyway." She starts off towards the parking area and the source of the noise, but takes her time as she scans the beach. Hands are good.. but something heavy and swingable would be even better.

Mila grunted harshly as she suddenly got caught up in the tiniest boobie trap of all. "OH GOD... no. Not that. Never that!" She laughed and pushed at her sister, in an attempt to roll her sister off of her, hips lifting up high and making good use of the muscles in said artful ass. But to no avail, really all she did was give Keha a bit of a buck and ride, unable now to enjoy her food, all she could do was laugh and flap her hands at Keha's shoulders, getting spicy barbeque sauce on her sister and then onto herself. Her legs kicked ineffectively. "She's got me! It never ends well! SHE'S GOT ME!" Keha and Mila were making too much noise for Mila to be overly concerned with the sound of another vehicle arriving, even of the people in that vehicle seemed to be rather perturbed.

"Aloha Keha," Kilia responds with a grin, and then chuckles as twin launches herself at twin for a wild ride. "This should be entertaining," she murmurs to Leif, but then he's addressing the seashell bandit. She cocks one eyebrow upwards to him and gives him a cheeky smirk. "I can show you saucy," she promises him, a tilt of her head giving a listen to the parking lot commotion, as they are probably closer than the twins and their companion. "Sounds like a case in the making for you," she quips to her boyfriend, and then takes another long swig from her bottle.

Whatever response he might have offered to Keha died as she launched herself at Mila. Blinking, Joachim just shrugged and unslung the telescope bag from over his shoulder, holding it up for the inspection of Zep and Muriel. "You're both right!" Laughing, he looked to the ruckus being caused by the twins with raised eyebrows, blinking before shaking his head with a smile and backing away, following Zep's gaze towards the sound of the car's backfiring and people talking. He frowned slightly. "Might not be the night for it though. At least I've got company." He looked from Muriel to Zep. "Do you two know each other?"

"Finally! I thought it'd take you forever. And you fancy yourself good at this stuff? Why did I bring you in the back instead of Nalana?" That same, annoyed voice carried as a series of heavy thuds were heard on the ground, in time, like something was walking with more than 2 legs. And with quite a bit of girth. The voice of pure annoyance was coming closer to the walkway down to the cove.

"Oh you two, at least it's done. We're here. Let's get down to the beach before this all goes off before we can even do that right." The voice that had been filled with such dark merriment earlier was still cool and amused, but it carried the edge of tension as another set of footsteps joined in crunching through the sand dusted path down along the Volcanic beach, headed toward the cove.

Keha squishes Mila all the harder for her sister's protests, making sure to keep her armpit as close to Mila's face as possible. "How's my deodorant? How's it working?" she asks in a sing-songy voice, the other making a fake lasso as Mila tries to buck free. "Avast, me hearties!" she greets Kilia and Leif, laughing maniacally. "It's an excellent night for snuggling on the beach with a loved one or the sauciest of wenches, isn't it?" Volya gets a great big wink. "It's true, we are anti-censorship around here...we be pi-rates! Ain't nobody tells us how much butt we can or can't show." But Zep has mentioned astrophysics and Joachim has a telescope on him, and now Keha's intrigued, and alas...the even the littlest booby trap comes to an end. Releasing her hold on Mila, Keha hops up and over towards Zep and Joachim. "Ooo, let's try it anyway! I wonder if we'll see Venus this time of year." She turns her head and looks up at all the racket of the new arrivals, and spots Lola heading towards it. "The beach is busy tonight..." she muses. "I should've picked up a six-pack on the way."

Muriel says, "Good grief, now they be doin' fake Irish pirate accents.." Muriel sighs and slaps her forehead. Idiots. But something else is amiss when the noisy vehicle arrives and some people start to argue. She smiles a knowing smile at Zep, nodding slowly, "Hmmm shall we head over there..?" To Joachim she just nods, "Aye, she be like a..Sister, to me. Tis a pity its become so hectic, all of a sudden. Perhaps later we can do some stargazing?""

Releasing the tip of her driftwood, Volya raised her 'blade' to the sky, "We respect no claims to the bounty of the seas! Next they be taxing the waves and charging for the sun!" Blinking, she looked back to Keha and Mila as she idly walked past them to swipe her index finger across Kila's to steal the sauce there. Licking her finger, her eyes narrowed again. "This is how we lost Harpsichord Henry... Spilling a pot of chasseur on himself and that be the end of he." Before the trumpeting sound of 'Kill Bill' started playing in ernest, Volya offered her hand to Mila, "There will be a pot of warm water awaiting her sleeping hand this night."

The sound of someone hopping down onto the ground was heard, though it wasn't nearly the impact of landing that had occurred earlier. Grunting, a third set of footsteps added themselves to the loud forray down toward the beach. "It managed to get out, right? That's all that matters. Next time you ride in the back instead of chilling out in the AC, and you can do all the heavy lifting, Nema." Acid scoured the voice that answered back to the first woman, obviously still dancing on that razor's edge of anger and frustration.

Conni is out for a moonlit walk, the pale Dane sipping from a bottle of beer as she treads softly over the sand. She looks dressed for a jog more than a walk, the snug athletic top, jogging pants and sneakers doing a good job of highlighting her rather muscular physique. She has an artist tube over one shoulder, the strap crossing across her chest and keeping the apparently weighty item in place. She walks with the aid of a rather thick walking stick, well, it's more of a staff than a stick but it's purpose is clear at the moment.

She does her best to ignore any raised voices, trying not to let anything intrude on what is a rather serene sight, Conni stopping for a moment to get a good look at the night sky. From the rise she is on, she casts her gaze around, spotting the twins and a few other familiar figures in the area. Taking another sip from her beer, she checks the strap on her tube and then starts out towards them, calling out "Aloha" as she gets closer, her Danish origins clear in her accent.

Zep is now staring at Mila, Kilia, AND Volya. So many 'a' sounds! Oh my! The woman nods to Joachim, biting her lower lip as she restrains the urge to lick her lips. That voice is... just so angry. At any rate, she tries to keep her attention on Muriel, shaking her head,"I dunno if that's a good idea." A pause, and she finally answers Joachim, distraction sort of fading. "We're... we met swimming, and we sort of share a love of the water. She's right. We're basically sisters. Um... are they going to be okay?" This in a gesture to Mila and and her... sister? Wife? Sister-wife? This is a weird island. Zep is a confused zep.

Leif takes another swing, "Keha? Oh yeah. I know those two from your surfing. They crack me up." Then mention of Ki being saucy, Leif laughs, "oh God, yes please." He takes a sip of his beer. "Yeah yeah.. Always should bring a six pack. There's a couple of bottles of Honey Ale in there. Help yourself. The other stuff is Kilia's and I can't speak for that." As Kilia mentiones a case in the making the private eye turns his head toward the sounds of the parking lot. "I hope you're not right. I'm going to go look. We might need to call the police." He says rising taking a drink of his own beer he goes to take off towards the voices. He calls out, "Aloha." Though if in response to Conni or the trio, he doesn't clarify. Knowing Leif it all of the above.

Lola pauses, her head darting down the beach. She rumbles lowly in her throat, her pace picking up as she approaches some nearby driftwood. She snatches up one.. then another, finding the second sturdier.. heavier. That'll do, her expression says after sweeping it through the air. She turns, grinning like a mudshark as she heads towards the parking area with the length of wood swung up to lay across her shoulder casually. And as she nears the parking area, she stuffs her arm into a nearby trash bin, coming out a few moments later with a dark brown liquor bottle. Unmindful on a sticky ice cream wrapper that ends up sticking to the sleeve of her loudly colored hoodie, she up ends it to drain the last bit of warm liquor from it before turning her attention towards the approaching people.Tapping the bottle against her thigh as she heads for the source of the sound. Whatever is coming, she's going to meet it on the way there. Serene night? Not likely.

A loud, horrid sound came from the group walking down the beach path. It was something akin to a snort mixed with a low-growled scream from a woman, perhaps. Then, amid the shrieks of true women's surprise, the sound of suddenly galloping movement can be heard, coming toward the beach, and FAST with heavy THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP noises. The sand alone was the reason no one could feel the vibrations on the earth, as it diffused the impacts enough to keep them from radiating. Not long after the horrid cry, a huge, dark figure could be seen running on all 4's, massive not just in length but also width and sheer girth. In the darkness, illuminated only by Shadows, it looked vaguely monstrous.

Mila was finally free! She grunted and sucked in a deep breath, quite theatrically (poorly done theatrics at that), and put her free hand to her chest. "Merciful Akua! She almost did me in over Okole jealousy!" Mila laughed and rolled herself up to sitting, turning her head to lick barbeque sauce off of her own shoulder. Grinning widely, she pulled herself up to her feet using Volya's outstretched hand and winked to the general direction of Zep, Muriel, and Joachim. "My twin's never happy to be reminded that she might not ever need to buy a bra, really. The more she loses the more she's just wasting money." Warm, sisterly amusement colored her voice as she chuckled, then looped her arm around Volya's waist in a companionable way, squeezing her slightly. "Mahalo for the assist up, Vee. She almost took the life outta me." Lifting the hand holding her food for a wave over toward Kilia and Leif, giving them a big smile and a called "ALOHA AHIAHI you two!" And of course, an incoming aloha from Conni meant that Mila whipped around to greet one of her favorite blondes. Only to stop and stare in horror at what she saw coming their direction. "HOLY... Conni, get out of the way! PIG!" She pointed with her, ironically, delicious pork filled bun towards the bullet-fast swine coming their direction.

Joachim nodded to Muriel, smiling at Zep. "Cool. Zep promised she'd show me some good places to go swimming. I haven't really had a chance yet." Laughing as Keha seperated from tussling with Mila to come over, he took out the cheap looking telescope. "It's small and it's nothing special, but it's also cheap so if I break it into tiny pieces I won't feel so bad." He chuckled at Keha. "Well, I've looked upon venus. And... I've looked upon mars. And I've burned with the fire of ten million stars." He mouthed the next few lines silently to himself. "And then I took off my sweater and I was pretty much ok. It gets hot sometimes." The sound of sudden crashing through the wilderness caused him to spin, looking to where the enormous boar had come charging out of the woods. He looked down at the telescope that he'd dropped, sighing. "Well, like I said... holy shit giant pig!" He pointed, gaping. "He'll win blue ribbon for sure!"

"Oh come on, you're going to let her win that easy?" Kilia calls over to Mila with a grin. She gives a nod to Leif as he determines to go over and inspect the parking lot. She finishes off her beer, and puts the bottle back in the cooler. "Yeah, we can share, no..." then there's something dark, and big... really big, menacing the beach and the people on it. "Leif!" she screams out, having lost track of him as he went towards the parking lot because she was paying more attention to rooting on the twins. She rips off the hoodie, dropping it to the sand revealing a forest green bikini top and mist-like wings that appear too insubstantial to hold her up... but they do as she takes to the air towards it, hand outstretched to aim a blast of air to the beast's midsection.

A loud scream of "SONOFABITCH!" Could be heard as the pig apparently broke away from whoever was bringing it down to the beach. Running footsteps behind the pig brought a tall woman into view, wearing a pair of long, black running pants and a black Tshirt. She was willowy, and her legs almost had her catching up, but the pig outdistanced her when she even got a bit close, and left her spitting out sand as it was rooster-tailed into her face.

The voice that had been so very amused earlier only seemed to shatter into cackles as the pig took off. "Why are you chasing it, Nema? Let it go!" She laughed more, all dark and dangerous sounding, as she half-heartedly followed in the chase and could be seen coming in a slow, loping jog well behind the rooster tail following the pig. She, too, was dressed in long, black leggings and a black Tshirt, but she looked a bit taller than the other woman, more long and lean of line, even.

Keha shoots Volya a -look- back over her shoulder, pointing two fingers at her own eyes, then the same two at Vee. "I see your hand in warm water and I'll raise you cherry bombs on the toilet seat. Let's dance, BlondeBeard!" Then Keha looks over to Zep and Muriel, and innocently raises her hands in front of her. "Don't listen to my sister. She's taken too many falls off the surfboard, poor thing is addled as saltwater and besides, she stretches out all my bikinis with her vavoomy bubble butt!" The last delivered with the exasperated huff. "They don't write songs about tiny butts!" She looks to Joachim for confirmation, bobbing her head. But there's talk of beer sharing, and that soothes her butt envy for the time being. She throws Leif and Kilia a shaka. "Mahalo! We should hit the surf when it's light out." Spotting Conni arriving to the beach, she hollers, "Howzit, Conni! Over here! We were juuuuuu-OH SHIT!" Keha is also afforded the opportunity to spot the prize-winning massive pig. "Holy hormones! That is one seriously roided out puaa!"

Muriel nods to Zep. "If ye say so, just remember to take care of yourself sometimes, too." As for Joachim she smirks at his attempts at lyrical poetry, "Aye, there be some good places around here, even the fallen pig is in a pool largely.." Well speaking of pigs..Eyes narrow as she spies a shadowy figure bursting from the woods. "..Woah! speak of the devil.." She doesnt move to either fight or flee yet, quite fascinated by this magnificent creature, curious to see what might happen next.

Volya grinned at Mila, "You're welcome. Though one of the ways to increase our shares would be one less crewmen making it back to port." She clicked her tongue, grinning at Kela, "Why would you want to do that to the only toilet in the condo?" The grin disappeared and her eyes widened as freight-train pig came thundering across the beach. Her Russian came out as a scream of "Ty che, blyad!?!" And the woman turned to Mila and it was off to the races. She very literally scrambled up Mila to get off the sand and in a heartbeat, Vee was across Mila's shoulder with Vee's arm wrapped around her head.

The cackling sound that came from the third woman was all sorts of wrong, wry, and ironic. She followed the other two but she was nearly doubled over with laughter, and finally she managed to fall into a roll that carried her down the path a little further than the second woman, and was still laughing. "Oh my GOD... Nalana did you see that?" She cackled darkly, also dressed in long, black leggings and a black Tshirt. Notably, all 3 women were also wearing black tennis shoes.

Conni waves happily to her friends, her hand freezing in mid motion at the mention of pork. "Pig?" Not that the blonde hasn't heard something herself, the sound of movement being rather hard to ignore from where she is now. "Friendly pig? Holy Pig? Revered by locals Pig? Or..." Conni grins as she says this, "not friendly, absolutely okay to kill Pig? I feel this is an important question." Hoping for the latter, Conni reaches over he shoulder and with practiced motions, pops the top from her artist tube but doesn't reach for anything just yet. Watching the three women chasing after the pig, Conni's brow furrows as she spots the cause of the disturbance. Spotting the woman who'd fallen in the sand, Conni aims a blow that would take her across the back of the legs, making movement difficult. It's good as plans go, the execution? Not so much. Managing instead to just kick up some sand, Conno rounds on the three of them. "What the hell is wrong with you? Are you trying to get people killed. Sad little bored idiots, getting people killed as you're bored?" Conni has to spit out the words, rage palpable in her expression, along with a hefty measure of contempt. "Well then, lets share the pain shall we? Pig dies because you're bored, lets give you some war wounds to show off when you get home huh?"

Zep points at the pig, and informs all and sundry,"PIG!" Then she looks at Joachim,"BIG PIG!" A pause, and then she stamps her foot, and screeches indignantly,"PIG!" Yes. The sight of a giant monster pig seems to have short-circuited some of those lofty higher reasoning skills, and her tone sounds somewhat affronted at the unreality of what is happening. A pause follows. For completion's sake, she points at Joachim,"NERD!" Because. Then she looks back to Muriel once the adrenaline fades a little,"Uuuuuh... Should we maybe find, like a car... or get in the water so it can't reach us? Wait... did she have wing- WINGS." She is REALLY good at identifying present things. Still, there are some sputtering, trouble-causing sisters, and she hasn't gorged herself in a while, so she begins to sidle away, nodding to Muriel and Joachim,"I'll be just... a moment." She begins humming. It's a discordant sound, but somehow it... syncs up with the crashing, surging sound of the waves. Almost a rage filled sound that reaches out towards the sisters,"You don't have to take that. Noone as worthy of respect as you should put up with that." Part of her thrills as she stokes the fires of anger into real rage, that yawning gulf in her soul, the one she tries to hide so well gobbling up the waves of rage rolling off the sand-spattered sis. Already her breathing quickens, like someone taking a hit of cocaine. Her excuse to Joachim and Muriel? "These girls need to leave before they're hurt. You two... figure out what all is going on over there?"

Leif blinks as he sees a giant boar come charging down the beach. "Your going to need a bigger luau." Then Kilia is in the air calling his name out and attacking the pig. That's enough to spur Leif into action. He goes running across the beach to punch the pig. "Nothing personal Porky! But if Ki wants you put down. You got to go." He says as he goes to punch the pig as hard as he can in the side of the face.

Lola pauses and sets her feet as it comes.. a boar! Or something. Whatever. It's big and it looks like fun to beat. Her eyes widen slightly and she squares off with the beast, not showing a hint of backdown in the face of it's imposing presence. If anything, it only seems to bolsters her growing fervor. After a moment of calculation she acts in the most direct and vicious way possible. Despite the start of flying spells, weapons and punches going on around her, she executes a side spin, moving aside as the beast charges into the scene. A backhanded swing of that bottle going straight for the head. It's not as hard as she wanted, not as perfectly aimed. But the bottle still shatters against its head. Likely it doesn't even feel it. But the shards of glass that pepper it's eyes? That's gotta hurt. And blind, if only for a moment. It doesn't matter, she's still got that fierce grin going, the ruined neck of the bottle tossed as she hefts her makeshift wooden club. "Time to tenderize this porker!" she calls out.

The boar didn't know what to do, likely, as it was being chased by three women, then sucker punched in the face, then had a woman breaking glass into its eyes. A shrill, uneven squeal broke free from it, followed by what could only be termed as a bellow of rage, and the Massive Swine charged Leif, taking the man out at the knees and flipping him into the sand like a rag doll.

Being climbed like a jungle gym likely wasn't too odd for Mila, if you figured in the rough housing that the twins had just been partaking in. Still, there was a grunt of surprise and the adjustment of feet on the sandy ground as Mila attempted to hold up the taller form of Volya, her newfound Russian stole. "Dammit WAHINE!" She grumbled and shifted a bit again, jerking her head to the side to get a better look at what was happening. "Oh Shit... KEHA! We're on the Leeward Side... that's a fucking pig." Mila had dropped her food while being climbed, and used one of her hands to steady the climbing monkey form of Volya while she attempted to reach blindly behind her for Keha, grabbing whoever was closest and shaking them by the shirt (Sorry if it wasn't Keha, all). "We have to get it out of here! SHE'S GOING TO BE PISSED!" The last was said with so much vehemence in her voice and sheer unnerved emotion that it was obvious she was worried about the situation. "I don't know if they were bringing it here to sacrifice it to her or what, but shit... they brought it ALIVE... to the LEEWARD SIDE.." All of this said while shaking the person she'd managed to grab onto.

Joachim gaped, watching as the boar came charging out. And then... things got weird. Zep was yelling next to him and he could only yell back in confusion. "Pig! Nerd! Pig! AGH!" He flailed, quite a bit more so as he was gripped by a four armed, ten foot tall giant and shaken, knocking into Muriel. "Oh god what the hell! Shit sorry!" He spun about, getting his feet as he watched people fly about and deliver devestating punches to giant pigs. "I... what?!" He grunted at the sound of anger Zep produced, totally confused and finally having enough of it. "Right! That's it!" He made a picture frame with his fingers, panning through the area. "Say cheese!"

She was looking for Leif, now Kilia's found him. Under the pig's feet, which she is starting to see as a familiar shape, not just a dark mass of possible destruction. But, in her panic over her boyfriend's condition, she's not yet remembered where they are and why it's important. She doesn't scream his name again, but she does give vent in the unknown shout that is followed by a sudden swoosh of air that blows the sand out from under the pig, and pushes at its legs, toppling it away from her man so he can get up. He better get up.

Amidst the process of sputtering out volcanic sand, the lead of the trio of women in black slowed her roll, and stopped running, coughing as she did so. Turning with a fury known only to those breifly prior to death, she screamed at the top of her lungs to the two following her "YOU FUCKING INCOMPETENT IDIOTS!" Her rage was obvious, and it echoed across the cove like something had struck the cord of a massive instrument, vibrating with pure, negative emotion. Conni's staff coming at Nema had her ducking to the side in an unnatural way, like her bones weren't actually solid but liquid, and she narrowed her eyes while turning her head to stare at the blond, nordic woman. "Bitch." She hissed the words between clenched teeth, then dove at Conni, pulling free a length of metal rod from behind her back and attempting to hit the woman mid-chest in a make-shift clothesline. The rod of metal held in both hands hit solidly, thumping into Conni's chest with a hollow sound as it struck.

Nalana had stopped laughing now, and was looking at the rageful, sandy-faced woman with arched brows as she continued to walk closer, cocking her head to the side. "Are you kidding, Nema? You're chasing a fucking pig." She motioned at the beast as it ran on, and then of course barrelled into Leif. Nalana winced sharply as she watched it happen, then shook her head. "I think we might have done all we need to, so chill the fuck out and let's get gone." Conni swung at Nema, and Nema dove after Conni, which had Nalana's eyes widening. "Oh goodness. NEMA! We don't have time for this!"

Keha stares blankly at Mila as her twin starts trying to haul off poor Joachim. "Momilani, did you fall and hit your head for real? I was just joking about that. What are you talking about?...and why are you wearing Volya like a cape? And where are you taking him, you kamehameha anal!" Keha throws back her head, exasperated by her twin's utterly confusing and inexplicable behavior, and starts running for the boar as Kilia knocks it off its feet and away from Leif. "HEY TINY PIG! Lookit you, all cute and tiny, put you in a tea cup and have tea parties..." she taunts the irate swine, throwing little air punches at it to get its attention and darting in front of wherever it turns its massive head. "Pick on somebody your own size, Diet Bacon! COME AT ME PUAA BRAH!"

Muriel sighs as she watches various people attacking the giant boar. Why, she'd be happy to live and let live, but while she's here, might as well get a feeding if she can. "Alright, leave some for me, yeah?" she steps towards Zep's side, peering intently at the boar and joins her own song in chorus. Her own voice is cold, crystalline, haunting, adding a second, eerier, almost alluring layer to the furious mood that Zep has set. Of course somewhere in the middle of it all, Joachim starts freaking out and being nerdy, and somewhere along the line he ends up bumping into Muriel, who is momentarily distracted from her singing. She stumbles back, glaring at him angrily. "Watch it!" She hisses.

Volya managed to empty her lungs screaming, her eyes wild and wide with panic as she stared at rampaging pig, gasping a groan of breath. "Get the delicious off the beach, then we eat it." With her supreme vantage point, it wasn't hard to sort the people from the pig. Pink and purple illuminated along the length of the filaments of her hair, but breath snagging as her skin started to flush. She leapt off of Mila, turning her palms on the air. A warm and floral scent wind curled across the beach picking up into a dust devil around Joachim, Mila, Muriel and Volya. Vee started singing, "Summertime... And the livin' is easy..." Blackened volcanic sand that had long been forgotten by Pele began to hiss and steam. The song erupted into a throat sheering scream of raw emotion as terrifying waves of flame spouted from the sand towards the pig, sending particles of heated sand in every direction. Glowing green vein illuminated throughout Volya's skin as she hissed through clenched teeth, "GET OFF THE BEACH!" The waves of flames closed in on the swine from three directions, leaving off the beach as its only option. Summer in the middle of Winter. Got to love Hawaii.

After a few moments, Nivia managed to lift herself up off the ground and recover from her fit of laughter over Nema losing control of the boar. She eyed the beach and nodded, a smirk coming over her lips as she lifted her hand up to the sky. "This is perfect, thank you all." She clenched her hand, and whispered a soft word so quietly into the delicate night breeze that it didn't even carry. A brief wash of power left the woman, and she giggled brightly, then started in a sing-song voice of pure malevolence "Come and see, come and see, come and see, come and see!" She didn't even seem to notice the fighting going on between Nema and Conni, her focus entirely on the now brightly shining wall of fire and the Pig.

"They're going to get hurt alright." Conni says with a grin to Zep as she turns to face the ones who chased the boar here. There is a moment of confusion as Mila calls out, Conni risking a glance over her shoulder before a iron bar to the stomach distracts her. Struggling to catch her breath, Conni leans on her staff before weakly calling. "Who's going to be pissed?" Speaking of pissed, Conni is still quite furious and the hit to the gut hasn't helped. Spotting the length of iron that Nema is carrying, Conni actually smiles. "Good, you're armed. At least for the moment." Taking a quick step back, Conni pivots on her back foot, swings and then brings the staff up and then down with crushing force on Nema's wrist, a flicker of a smile crossing her features when she hears the cracking of bone.

"Jo are you okay?" Except... there's so much nummy sister-hate going on. She calls out to Nelana, looking 'surprised' as she throws her hands up,"Woah, where did that come from! Are you going to take that from her? Who's she to talk to you like that?" Even as she pushes with that sense of psychic rage, she offers a hand to Muriel as she steps to her side, a slight smile coming to her face,"I think it's custom to sing when sirens gather. We need a third. Since I can't carry a tune in a bucket, though, we'll let you do all the work of singing." And then she's looking to Joachim, suddenly looking embarrassed as she says,"I TOTALLY understand if this is uh... too many... pears or something? Jo. I need a non-fruit based metaphor. Um... I hope we can still do lunch!" Wait. Is that... Four arms? A head-riding pirate? THIS IS VERY CONFUSING. "OH GOD. MORE MONSTERS. WHY!?"

Muriel sighs, watching the chaos hoing on around her. Right now, she's tok tired to care what hapoens to piggy but hopefully she got a sip of its emotions. "I have to go, Zep, Joachim. Have fun with the piggy, aye?" With that she slios quietly out, hopefully not pursued by a horny boar.

Leif struggles to his feet and brushes the sand off. He shakes his head to clear it. "FIre? Wha? That's new." It's about that time Kilia comes swooping down grabbing Leif before he can process. The scion of the wind carrying Leif shakily across the wall of flames. His deck shoes' soles getting scortched in the process as she drops him on the ground. "Grab the cooler and run." Leif frowns, "Nights like these, I miss Minnesota." He says tucking the ice chest under one arm and grabbing the blanket. Then he heroically runs toward the jeep as Kilia flies overhead. He was following her lead.

Lola jumps back when the fire rolls up and curses under her breath as it cuts her off, for the moment, from the boar. But then she looks around. Her eyes narrowing. But nothing is there. At least, to everyone but Lola. "No.." She hers Nivia and her head turns sharply. Her eyes narrow to slits and she leaps at the woman, her driftwood club raised to swipe at her hard. "Shut your fucking mouth!" The level of vehemence rising to a new level quite suddenly. Sadly, her eagerness to smash ends with not the cleanest of swipes and a miss as the woman ducks the swipe.

Now that Mila was without her lovely Russian scarf of a Volya, she looked around and shook her head. "No seriously, PELE! She's not going to be happy. Get it back towards the other side of the island!" She ran after the pig, rushing up to its side and doing her best impersonation of a line backer into its shoulder with her own. It was a solid hit, jarring to Mila herself to the point she nearly fell over, but the Swine had enough mass that it seemed to just keep on running, away from the fire, yes, but toward the water and the longer portion of the peninsula along the Leeward Coast.

The pig was out of its mind, clearly, all things considered it might well just drop dead of a heart attack if the night continued on this way. First the pain, the falling over, the eyes being blinded, the sudden urge of hormones begging the poor thing to mate... and now Fire. So much FIRE. And fire kills, all wild animals know this. Its run took on a frenzied sort of speed as it rushed away from the fire and down the beach, trying to get away from it. The massive swine nearly trampled poor Keha in the process, instead barely missing her as the lithe woman got herself out of the way.

Joachim stared, watching the world around him as behind the goofiness of his behavior he'd opened the power of his third eye and the ability to see the world as it was. He took an unsteady step as the universe whirled around him, mind abuzz with a thousand images and incredible sights. He paused to smile somewhat weakly at Zep, shaking his head. "Oh kiddo... we're way out of fruit salad. This is a whole bag of mixed nuts." He pointed at Nivia and called out. "And that one... those ones... they're the peanut hulls in the party! Absolutely not human... and she's pissing off the ghosts around here..." He shook his head, shutting down that perceptual power and breathed out. "Wow coming down from that is always a trip." He eyed the others carefully. "Dunno what to do about em so please just beat the shit out of them some more?"

Nema let out a shrill scream as her arm was struck by the Valkyrie's staff and her wrist snapped. Her own metallic baton remained in her good hand and she twirled it once, then struck forward while stepping into Conni, attempting to hit her rather hard about the head or neck. The strike met Conni along the ridge of her temple, but deflected and only managed to give a bit of a bonk, as if the Dane's hair cushioned the blow.

Nalana lifted a hand and hissed at Conni "Leave her be, Amazon!" Then she murmured something that sounded like 'Twinkle Twinkle' and suddenly five points of light leapt from her fingertips, dancing in front of Conni's face in an attempt to blind her with the brilliance of the light in the night.

Keha was successful at pissing of the giant swine. For some reason, she's generally pretty successful at being vexing. But then, she has to run for her life, because she's just successfully pissed off a giant swine. She doesn't stop to guess its motivations, but between dodging the pig and a wall of fire, Keha's instinct is firing on all cylinders when she picks herself up from the scrub she'd dives into. "Pele..." her sister had said..."OH, SHIT! PELE!" Keha repeats, as Mila's able to spell it out more clearly. She has way too much adrenaline to hold still, and Joachim has just given her nice, clear instructions on where the problems are coming from. The little woman in the big glasses turns on her heel and throws herself at Nivia, arms outstretched as she tries to grapple onto her. Unfortunately, what Keha actually ends up grappling is a tree trunk. Damn dodgy women.

Volya was stared daggers at the retreating as her fingers folded over her palm in a claw motion, the wall of flame crashed into the sand leaving them the sand glowing hot and hissing the moisture out of itself. Those green and glowing eyes of her scanned the forms moving about the beach and melee. Maybe it was the jump of light that drew her attention or she just didn't like the way Nalana's hair looked, but Volya let out another scream and a burst of sunlight seemed to emit from Nalana, lefting her skin redden and her eyes unable to see for the time being.

The large Tiger had been watching the.. evening's entertainment for a little bit. That baked ham was looking delicious. However, the Valkyrie was being pressed and that could not stand. And so the crouched Siberian sprang into action... for tigers are wonderful things, their legs are made out of rubber, and their tails are made out of springs. However, the 'woman' named Nema moved out of the way at expressly the wrong time. "MEOW!", the almost-Triumphant tiger said as he jumped over the woman in black.

Nivia looked surprised as Keha attempted to grapple with her, dodging neatly out of the way with a spinning sidestep. Her smile fell from her face as she shook her head at Keha and tsked. "Why would you even do that, little girl?" Her tone was strange and taunting, a bit sing song like she was somewhat happy-high. Of course, then the bright light went off in front of her face, the burst of brilliance making her scream and shut her eyelids as tight as she could. "FUCKING HELL!" Her voice was rough and sharp with ire as she blinked temporarily blinded eyes. "Fuck this shit, I'm out." She waved her hand into the air and whispered "Gone girl." And with that, Nivia promptly vanished.

Conni actually seems to be enjoying herself, even with the blow she just took to the head...or perhaps because of it. She shifts her attention from Nema, the woman is quite injured now and possibly less of a threat. Then Nalana is doing this thing with stars and that just can't stand, Conni reacting quickly and pivoting her body to bring the butt of her stuff up and into the side of Nalana's head, hopefully distracting her enough to get some more whacks in later. Conni guestures cautiously as Peter approaches, "Watch out for this one." She says with a nod towards Nema, "She's nasty with that bar and this other one has magic...I think."

There's a sudden screech from Zep as Volya summons fire, and warm breezes, and generally shows off her inner raver to the world at large. DOES SHE HATE ALL FUN? She points at Volya, this time with one finger, suddenly ignoring the surrounding chaos. The tips of her hair dance as if swept by underwater currents, her skin pales and takes on wet appearance, and icey despair fills the air around her,"YOU! THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE! NOT YOUR TIME. Every little mewling little effort here upsets the delicate balance! Your efforts are worthless! More, they are an affront to the natural order! You throw your Summery Magic around, in affront to the spirit of our compacts, claiming land where it is not yours to do so! You act the part of a child doing greater harm than that which you try to undo. SHAME. SHAME!" She practically radiates psychic despair. "FLEE BACK TO YOUR HOLE, SUMMER CHILD AND LEAVE THESE THINGS TO THOSE BETTER EQUIPPED TO UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS-" Yeah, that tone of voice is someone going all unhinged. But it's such good eating.

Lola snarls as Nivia masks herself, the enraged young woman shouting at the empty air, "You'd better run, bitch! Next time, I'm gouging out your eyes, making you eat them, tearing off your head and shoving it up your ass!" There is far too much anger in those words for them to be anything but the literal gospel of Nivia's fate, should she ever cross paths with the firebrand again. She snaps around and the first thing she sets eyes on is Nema. She growls, sweeping at her viciously, but even her well timed swipe comes a little too slow to tag the woman. But there's more where that came from.

The swine continued on it's course, following away from where the fire kept it from running. Its fast legs carried it up the side trail leading away from the Volcanic Beach, starting it on the course towards being on the main Leeward Coast, though it had a bit to go to get there. It was breathing hard enough now that spittle frothed on its maw, and dripped beneath it dampening the sand.

Mila watched the Pig start running up its path to get off the beach, so that was one thing good, right? And then she heard it, the whithering statements coming from Zep to Volya. Seeing red was one of those things that you couldn't quite explain well enough to anyone that hasn't done it. However, Mila had the little benefit of it being painfully obvious when she saw red. Her skin started to mottle, taking on the rough, edgy pattern of coral, with its white and orangish tone. As she walked towards Zep with nothing but pure, unadulterated focus in her heated brown eyes, spikes came from her, growing long. They started out black closest to her skin and faded their way up to a vibrant, dangerous looking orangey red, making the woman heading Zep's way appear like a violently agile urchin from under the sea. Pulling her hand back, she cocked her fist and without any word, she puched Zep directly in the face, leaping up into the hit to make sure she could reach the taller woman squarely. The spikes entered Zep's skin first there at the line of her jaw, and then were followed through by a heavy hit of Mila's fist. Mila didn't stop the follow through til there was a satisfying CRACK of bone as Zep's jaw broke, and she huffed out a harsh breath. "Kulikuli, haole. That's mine and it's perfect." Her rage made her voice veritably simmer the air around her into heat waves.

Joachim stared, dumbfounded as his chosen target disappeared. Amongst the sudden yelling and the roar of the flames filling the beach, chaos just sort of... descended. Zep was yelling at the woman who'd made all the fire and taken a rather hideous punch to the face for it. Conni and... holy shit there really is a tiger were battling out against the two remaining women and that's what he'd been paying attention to. Whatever all this was going on, there wasn't time for it.

He started moving, thankfully that it wasn't a week ago as he scooped up a handful of sand and gave a resigned shrug of his shoulders as he tossed it at Nalana with a sneer. "You're paste." The joker's usually demeanor was gone as the particles hovered for a moment before racing across the intervening space, a shotgun blast of sand that shredded clothing, flesh and bone. He stood over Zep, lightly cupping more sand with the other hand and spoke quietly. "I think I'm done with this..."

There is no dramatic response to Mila's crack to the jaw. No grand gurgle. No coughing of blood as she swings wildly at her assailant. No. Instead, the woman, pouring blood, not quite able to get the scream out of her mouth... No, she rolls her eyes up and passes out face down... Since that beats choking on blood. Someone will likely call an ambulance. Before she loses consciousness, she GURGLES something that sounds suspiciously like 'nerd'.

Nema cradled her arm against herself and let out a sound of outrage when people continued flowing in to attack her and then Conni left to beat on Nalana. "Shit... We need to go now." She growled under her breath at Nalana. "It's done, that's all that matters. Go. Now." With a flick of her wrist, and a shout of "FLAME!" The world around Nema and Nalana suddenly went alight with a wall of fire that reached up 12 feet high, encircling the two women and creating a lovely barrier between themselves and the others coming to harm them.

Nalana let out a choked scream as she took the blast of sand and felt her skin rubbed raw clear down to the muscle on her exposed arms, cheeks, and throat. "NEMA!" The horror in her voice was real as she scrambled up against Nema's leg and the wall of fire cut them off from the others around them. The roar of the flames completely occluded anything else said behind the wall.

Keha growls and turns towards Zep as Volya crumples under the withering scorn of her voice, and hundreds of vicious black spines erupt from her skin as it takes on a several shades of orange and red and the hard, knobbly texture of coral. But Mila conveys the twins' message very clearly, so instead Keha turns her ire on the two she can still see who caused all this. She can still see them - through a 12 foot wall of searing flame. Ah, hell, now she's pissed off, what's a little more burning on top of her temper? So she leaps through the fire and attaches her spiny self to Nalana, jabbing as deep as she can.

Volya stared at Zep, her hands slowly dropping down to her sides. All that rage and anger drained out of her features, the green glow of her eyes and veins, even the glowing highlights of pinks and purples faded back to normal as she just knelt down, staring at the sand that lost its heated glow before wrapping her arms around her legs and laying her head against her knees.

The Siberian takes a moment to sniff at Conni, before turning and watching the baked ham making it's escape. Well that's no good. The large feline begins to trot after the boar, and then breaks out into a run.

For anyone searching for the invisible woman, they'd have a much harder time than expected, as she was simply no longer there. Courtesy of a little step through to the nevernever, Nivia had slipped away.

The sudden screeching distracts Conni for a moment, the Dane looking over her shoulder to see what is going on. She winches as Zep verbally attacks Volya but thinks nothing of it...until Volya collapses and then things get interesting. Watching Volya shift, Conni has a fairly good view of her walking over and then punching Zep, the crack making her wince again. "This is all going a bit...wrong." The wall of flame coming up, puts an end to any ideas Conni had of fighting anymore...then Keha just jumps through the flames and the Dane finds herself grinning. "Okay, I need to call an ambulance. I'm going to head up the hill so I can get a signal, can people please come up with credible excuses before they get here?" With a last wave to those assembled, Conni sprints up the hill.

The swine continued to run. Continued to run it's poor little heart out, trying to get away from the fire. Away from the crazy, away from the mean ladies and their truck. It was just moving. And it might not stop til it hit the forest on the other side of the island. Or Kailua beach. At this point, it was just trying to get away.

Mila looked down at Zep, growled sharply and then looked at Joachim, and nodded to him. "Carry her out, so she doesn't drown. I'm too spiky." She looked at the long spikes along her skin and then her eyes tracked to the tiger chasing the boar. "Shit." And with that, Mila was off after the two. "Let it get off the leeward side!" She called after Peter loudly, though he may or may not hear her depending on how fast the wind was traveling by him as she yelled.

Joachim looked at the woman speaking to him somewhat dully, gripping the handful of sand before she ran off. With a sigh he let it fall to join the rest and carefully bent down to take up Zep in his arms. "Right... so I guess we both have some explaining to do huh?" He watched the fire burn, Nema and Nalana on the other side. He looked to where Volya sat slumped in the sand and shook his head, slowly walking off. "I don't think I know how this world works anymore."

After Keha came in to continue her attack on Nalana, Nema wrapped her good arm around the other woman and hissed at Keha. "Back off!" And then, like she was opening drapes, she fell backwards into a tear in the world, dragging Nalana with her and leaving behind a single, black tennis shoe from the other woman's foot as she lay slack in her arms from poison and pain.

Nalana wasn't fighting anything at all, really, she just fell back against Nema. When they slipped away, there wasn't even an indication of understanding she left the shoe behind, her black-socked foot looking terribly small without the additional protection of the shoe.

Keha has her spines in Nalana, then all of a sudden her quarry is wrenched off of her. The spiny woman throws her head back and growls in frustration, then heaves her shoulders and starts for the water. "I...need a swim. Tell my sister I'll be home after I cool off. Also, I'm pretty sure I just walked through fire, and these were my best Gaiam yoga pants. Dammit." She makes good on it, then. She just walks right into the ocean and starts swimming, until her bobbing head is out of sight.

The Tiger will see the boar off in style, and return a few minutes later, sadly with none of that baked ham. He walks past Lola, giving her a sniff and trailing his tail along her side as he goes by. His ultimate destination is the fallen form of Zep. The Siberian rumbles at her, and then mews. Volya, too, gets some attention from the feline, concern etched in the features of his face.

Being chased, the swine redoubled its efforts, and literally looked like some sort of speed-racer version of a massive pig. Once it hit a line of shrub-brush, it was into them, and then further on into deeper forested areas, leaving only the sound of the occassional cracking branch or bark being rubbed off a tree as it went likely back to its home.

Running after the swine until such time as it got into the bushes, Mila let out a sharp breath and turned around, her legs carrying her swiftly back to the beach, a bit after tiger-Peter arrived. All the exertion had done well to calm her down, and her skin was back to being its coppery brown, soft self and no longer sported long spikes or the roughened countenance of coral. She looked for Keha, frowning slightly when she didn't see her, but then moved over to Volya, crouching down next to her on the sand and speaking softly. "Vee? Everything alright? She looked around uncomfortably, then reached over to stand and pick up Volya in the same movement. "Let's get out of here. Did anyone see where Keha went?" Mila started up the path away from the cove, then, carrying Volya carefully to get her to the jeep.
